Five stars – Worth the Love Tax! The Tuxedo Mafia (our trio of opinionated, semi-feral house cats) usually act like they’re too regal for human affection—but these dried fishies changed the game. They’ve learned that if they pay the love tax (a few headbutts, slow blinks, or a brave lap visit), they get their prized minnows. Now they’re suddenly sweethearts. These treats are a win for bribery, bonding, and blackmail. Highly recommend for picky feline overlords. FYI: Put them up out of reach—otherwise, you might wake up to a fish-fueled feeding frenzy… or just an empty bag with teeth marks.

I'm dictating this because I don't like the feel of computer keyboards--my claws always get caught on the edges of the keys. But I'll say this: these fishies are way more interesting than any of my other treats. I've had Greenies--meh, and not that good for me. But these guys. I wish I could get the jar open. I've tried knocking it off the shelf but it was too well snapped shut. I'd try gnawing through the plastic of the jar but I'm not a dog for god's sake, I have standards. I just persist with the Strident Siamese Complain Voice until my human finally breaks down. These guys are so crunchy and delicious. I go for the heads first but they're yummy down to the tails. Yes, real little mammals are better, but if you can't go outside and chase gophers and mice, this makes life worth living.

My cats go NUTS over these! They’re obsessed. Also, THIS brand is the best. I’ve tried three or four different freeze dried minnow brands and these are by far the very best. The other brands smell really nasty and aren’t as big as these ones. Well worth the price tag.

1 of my cats and my dog loved this! I'm currently wondering if my other cat is a cat but that's fine. Only complaint is something they can't fix, and it's the fishy smell when you open the bag. Of course fish is going to smell fishy haha, I don't enjoy it but my 1 cat and my dog do!

My cats all seemed to enjoy these treats (different brand) so when I went to restock, I wanted a larger bag. These were a bit pricey but the bag was larger so I decided to try them. When I opened the bag to give to the kitties, the fish were like cardboard cutouts. They were so tough, I couldn’t break them apart for the cats, even my dog couldn’t eat them. I understand freeze dried, but they should be edible. When I tried to return them, I was told this product is not eligible for return. In checking back on the Amazon page, I couldn’t find ant reference that the product was non-returnable. As I said, these were pricey; I’m a senior and can’t really afford to toss almost $20 in the trash. Save your money! Update8/29/24: looking thru the other reviews I see one where the buyer states “ the seller honors his 100% satisfaction” promise. This review was from 7/2020, but even so…why is a customer’s satisfaction any different 4 years later. I think the honorable thing to do is offer me a 100% refund.

I recently got a rescue cat. She was suffering from malnutrition when she was found and when I got her she also had bad indigestion and flatulence. I switched her to raw, which is what a friend of mine who had a cat with similar issues did with great success. She has had to learn to chew her foods but it seems now she really enjoys it and I knew she loved fish so I tried the minnows from raw paws. I hav3 tried many other of their products and most of them she has liked. I notice that I had to snap the minnows into smaller kibble sized bits before she would eat them but I’m hoping in time she will learn to eat them as is too. In training her I use treats so I’m happy to have a bit mor3 biologically appropriate option than the usual treats that contain all sorts of junk. I don’t need to make her life harder than it already has been by feeding her junk food. Lol. Besides when she eats the other kibble style treats she farts like crazy. These treats are improving my quality of life as well. 😉

Cat sniffed it, patted it around a bit, but didn't eat it... maybe he's just a picky eater? I tried soaking it in water to hydrate it, but he's still ignoring it, in favor of his normal, dry pellet food. Fortunately, if your cat is like mine, they offer a full refund. This seller is very good, would recommend buying from them, in general, they are among the most communicative and honest sellers I've interacted with online. My cat loves soft, moist "cat treats"; and I think these fish might be too dry to give off any enticing smell. Update (July 24, 2020): I tried breaking the dry fish apart in front of my kitty's nose and he did finally nibble at some of the head-parts. If your cat isn't interested in it at first, I'd suggest making it more bite sized. Next, I'm going to try blending it up with some wet food, maybe that'll work? I tried eating some of the parts he didn't eat myself; it tastes just like a dry sardine... not unappetizing at all. Honestly, I'll probably just eat the rest of the bag myself if the cat doesn't appreciate it. They might add a nice crunch to a burger. Update (July 26th, 2020): Cat is eating about 2/3 of the fish, broken into very tiny pieces, one at a time. He eats the head first, then downwards to the tail. At the last 1/3 of the fish, he loses interest, but I eat that part for him. This is turning out to be a fun treat sharing activity for us! In general, I make a point to try a little bit of any food I give to my cat, but I don't make a habit of eating cat food because I don't envy my cat's breath, haha. It's nice to know that these treats are single ingredient; it's hard to know exactly what they put in some cat foods. Update (July 30th, 2020): If I break the fish into 5-6 parts in front of my kitty's nose, he eats the whole thing, piece by piece. No parts are left for me... :(. Apparently, these treats are a bit of an acquired taste, but my cat seems to like them now. All he says is "meow" so it's hard to say for sure... Update (August 3rd, 2020) Both the cat and I are eating these treats every day. They are quite tasty on a plain McDonald's hamburger.
