Plantar Fasciitis Socks, Ankle Compression Socks, Foot & Arch Support for Women & Men

I’m a freelance copywriter/screenwriter. I have the most sedentary job on the planet. To counter that, I walk daily between 3-5 miles. Despite maintaining that exercise pace, ever since I quit smoking I gained back about 40 pounds of the nearly 100 lbs. that I lost 6-10 years ago to cure myself of diabetes through physician-directed activity and diet modification. Yes, biology is a bitch. But the flipside is for many early diabetics it is possible to cure yourself through lifestyle modification. That's part of what makes plantar fasciitis a devil. It snuck up on me, not when I was at my heaviest, but after I’d successfully started reshedding the regained pounds.A word about plantar fasciitis. WebMD says that “the plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes.” I say imagine how a scorpion sting would feel there whether you’re walking, sitting or especially getting out of bed first thing in the morning. If you suffer from plantar fasciitis then you don’t need to imagine it. I was gobbling 600-1200 mg of Motrin every day and it was barely taking the edge off.But it’s the socks you want to know about. I ordered two pair. My foot is a 10.5 2-4E and I’d ordered the XL sock. The minute I got them I ripped open the package and put the left sock on. The sock offers medium compression. Enough that I feel supported, but not enough to limit circulation. So, the sock is a good fit for my wide foot. Putting it on immediately knocked at least 60-70% of the pain out. Since only my left foot is affected I had the bright idea to turn the right sock inside out. It works just as well. The ZaTech sock, though sturdy, is thin enough to wear as an “undersock.” The sock’s moisture wicking is excellent. It keeps your foot feeling clean and dry.Between the sock and an arch support, I’m back nearly to my old pace with very manageable to negligible pain. Sitting, my foot used to be painful. Walking up and down stairs was agonizing and made me feel 90 years old. Not anymore. In the last week, after my 3 mi. circuit the pain diminished to the point where I’m no longer gobbling Motrin. A huge plus. I’m slowly working my way up to my old pace and distance. I’ve also started reincorporating the stretches I learned from another bout of plantar fasciitis 4 years ago. I will never be mistaken for an athlete, but I am disciplined and serious about my exercise. The Zatech compression sock has helped restore much of the joy of that workout.And to Jen, the co-founder of ZaTech. The socks were supportive with extra support around the ankle and under the foot around the heel. The material is a synthetic, so the feel is different than regular socks. I washed and dried them with the rest of my laundry and they came out fine.

I purchased the compression socks for my ankles. I don't have any pain in my feet. Mainly for the redness and slight swelling. Doctor recommended compression socks and they really helped with the discoloration and swelling. They are very comfortable as I have small feet. The small size fits perfectly. The top of the socks are a bit tight so I just turned it down. I can wear them all day and feel my feet are being well supported.I would recommend to people who need good ankle support. Thank you.

I don't even know where to start on this review but here goes....I have had problems with my feet and ankles forever. My feet pronate inward, I have no arches, and I have a lot of damage due to walking this way my whole life. The tendons are shredded in my left ankle, the bones are effused and there is arthritis. Everyday by the afternoon my left ankle is in severe pain and very swollen. I have had several cortizone injections over the years to manage the pain and swelling and they only work temporarily. The orthopedic surgeon made a brace for my left foot and ankle and that did not help either. I have tried ankle wraps and the ones with the copper in them and they help only minimally. When I came across these socks and read the description I figured for 15 dollars what do I have to lose. So I bought them......and this was by far the best decision I have ever made. The first day I wore them I felt immediate relief and a huge difference. I had no pain or swelling at from morning through the end of the night. I figured it was just because it was a new thing and it wouldn't last. I was wrong. These socks work so well that so far I have purchased two pairs and then my daughter bought me two more pairs for Christmas. I have worn these socks every single day, except for one day when none were clean, and I have no pain or swelling or anything at all.....the one day I did not wear them, which I thought would be no big deal, I was in so much pain and all swollen by afternoon. I now have four pairs and would like to get at least three more to have one for every day. These socks are thin so now that winter is here and it's been very cold here I can easily wear them under warmer socks in the snow and they don't bulk up mu shoes or boots at all. I cannot rave enough about these socks! They are well worth the 15 dollars a pair and eventually I will get three more pairs so I have one for everyday.

I bought these socks several months ago, primarily for ankle compression, and I thought they were great. They felt snug, but still comfortable. I recently decided to purchase additional pairs, and they were significantly larger. You can see from the photo how much larger the new socks were than the previous ones. My feet are very small (Ladies US 6N running shoe), and I am always dubious when something claims to be "small," but the original ones I bought were a great fit. I returned the new socks and was quite disappointed as there's no "extra small" size I can buy instead. The new socks were comfortable, but I felt NO compression whatsoever since they are too big for the intended purpose. A real let-down.

Da ich nach längerer Belastung Probleme mit geschwollenen Füßen habe, ( Zustand bei Atrohse+Plantarfaziitis ) sind die Socken eine Hilfe und wirken der Schwellung entgegen. Desweiteren geben sie dem Sprunggelenken Stabilität durch die Kompression.

Fortemente consigliati, fra tanti calzini per fascite plantare provati, questi sono gli unici che mi danno un reale sollievo e beneficio.Consiglio di lavarli solo a mano, in acqua fredda e con sapone delicato (anche se questo la casa madre non lo dice).

These socks are comfortable. My ankles were well supported and I didn't get the pain in the balls of my feet that I usually get.
