What are the zinc and phosphorus concentration rates? Are there any dilution charts?

Lucas Product# 10063 is a zinc additive for engine oil.  Its designed for engines with no catalytic converter in the exhaust (pre-1977 cars/trucks) and race engines.  This product is also used as an engine "break-in" additive for newly built engines.  For non-race applications, one bottle will usually treat two oil changes.  Some race-engine applications require the entire bottle.  Classic cars (depending on oil capacity) require approximately 2,100 PPM (Parts Per Million) zinc in the oil. I have a 1989 dodge with a 5.9 cummins and used shell rotella 15w 40 but in just about all oils for highway use they remove the zinc out of the oils.

Yes! Flat tappet cam as well as pre-1996 engines require this additive. It is a wonderful product, I use it in all of my vehicles as well as the Lucas ATF supplement

Could/should this be used on a older worn engine to extend its life? No breaking in. Just protecting the engine for further wear.

Yes I use it on a 350 small block that has 150k, the zinc does help, but it wont fix worn parts like bearings..etc.. Whenever its down a quart I add that, its expensive but even if it offered a 10 percent lubrication benefit, its still worth it for me. I bought this one for a 383 stroker with rollers

Question 4

If I use this for a rebuild, should I still go easy on the engine for the first few hundreds of miles? Or should I go 70-80% of redline?

Take it a little easy for the first 500 miles. Make a few medium  acceleration pulls, a few hard acceleration pulls. Let the engine slow the car when you do this not the brake. After 500 change the oil and you should be good to go. Not a bad idea to change oil again after the next 500-1000 miles either
