10-25x42 Monocular
Super fast delivery... great image at 25x zoom. Focus is effective at both 10x and 25x. Need a tripod for the best result. So far its a great optic. Wanted to check out the moon but its too cloudy. So many brands make the exact same monocular so I doubt much of a difference between them all. Choose one with warranty. I dont for see any issues with this thing. Well built and does what its advertised. I like it a lot. Buy it! It works well...

All great except for focusing
This is a decent monocular. I really like the ability to zoom 25x, & I can hold it adequately still to use it. But that level of magnification really tests the quality of the lenses & the focal ability. It's probably as good as my old 10x monocular that cost ~$20, but it wasn't as obvious at that magnification level. $70 is a great price, but you do get what you pay for. It appears rugged enough to last me a lifetime.

Perfect for Monovision
I had mono Lasik surgery which left one eye to see close up & modified one eye for distance vision. This doesn't work with binoculars. In addition to excellent zoom focus, a monocular is less cumbersome to pack, & fits in a cargo pocket. At home, I use it to spot eagles & osprey on the lake. Very useful.

Defective??
I hope this was simply a defective item! The lens distortion was so severe that only about the center 25% of the lens could be focused (at the 10x power). At higher magnification, the portion of the lens that could be focused was miniscule. The field of view at 10 power (even including the distorted edges of the lens) was only about 100 feet at 1000 yards (it is advertised on other sites at 351 feet). At least the marketplace seller (Plumstruck) handled my refund promptly.

works as it should
Read a blog on such a monocular from an airline pilot who was using it for star gazing from the cockpit; found it hard to align if only hand held- but a good product anyway.

Great on the outside, poor optics
I bought this monocular because I wanted a zoomable scope for wildlife viewing. I liked the way it looked when I took it out of the package, and the focus and zoom were easy to use. Unfortunately, when I took it out in the field, I noticed that the optics were rather poor: 1). in spite of a 42mm objective lens, the field of view is fairly narrow - when zoomed out, the aperture narrows (I found the best viewing was at about 10-12x zoom) 2) there was noticeable prismatic distortion, giving things a slight hazy look; 3) the focus is decent, but not especially sharp. Returned.

works great
love this monocular works great does get shaky at the higher power. got a new adjustable clamp mount that attaches to car window, bike handlebars or anything strurdy then this attaches to that with the 1/4 inch treaded hole. a tripod works good too, but at half power or less it can be handheld ok. looks simular to the Orion version. the focus does stick a little (tight) but it is still breaking in, at least it is not too loose! have a spotting scope made in russia like that. good optics for low light conditions?

Fine product for old eyes
Both my wife and I are in our mid-to late seventies. Our eyes can no longer focus through binocculars. This product fits our needs perfectly to view birds of prey that use a tree near our home to eat thier catch or rest before hunting again. We have it mounted on an old camera tripod in front of our patio door ready for use.
