Tasty recipes that are easy to follow. I like the photographs and staple binding. The ingredients are nicely explained in three forward section, and I was able to find nearly all of them at my local Asian grocery.

Un livre qui décoiffe pour une cuisine qui décoiffe.
A mi chemin entre la cuisine indo-pakistanaise et la cuisine chinoise (au moins autant qu'on les connait ici parce que je ne suis jamais allé dans ces pays), la cuisine indonésienne, quant elle est bien faite, est pour moi la meilleure cuisine au monde. Meilleure que la cuisine française monsieur Chauvin? Bien Oui, notre cuisine a du charme, elle peut même être magnifique, mais quant on est Français, on craque pour l'exotisme, et avec la cuisine indonésienne vous serez servis. Je ne mâche pas mes mots : il m'est arrivé de faire 300 kilomètres pour aller manger indonésien dans le plus surprenant des restaurants ... au Portugal. J'adore cuisiner, et avec le temps, je commence à me débrouiller plutôt bien. Ca faisait des années que je fantasmais d'aller en Indonésie pour me former à la cuisine avec un chef du coin. D'ailleurs ça marche, parce que de nombreuses écoles de cuisine pour étrangers s'y sont montées. Le problème aussi, c'est qu'il y a autant de spécialités là bas qu'ils n'ont d'ile principales. Venons en à ce livre parce que je n'ai fait que le parcourir. Il ne m'a fallu que quelques minutes, pour me rendre compte que tout y est. même des spécialités que j'avais oubliées. Pas besoin de les faire pour voir qu'elles sont authentiques et bien faites, parce que ce qui se conçoit bien s'énonce clairement. En plus, il n'est pas cher. Son seul défaut c'est d'être en Anglais. Vous n'aurez plus qu'à faire la cour à mademoiselle Assimil. Moi je comprends l'Anglais donc tout baigne. Ce livre va rester mon livre de chevet pendant assez longtemps pour que j'aie tout essayé ou presque. Bref je suis ravi. Si vous aimez la cuisine, offrez vous un cadeau qui vaut la peine. Si après ça, ils ne me proposent pas d'être un commentateur privilégié chez Amazon, je ne sais plus quoi faire :)
