Doesn't get the best results for brushing but MY needs are met.
V-WHITE Ultrasonic U-Shaped Toothbrush When putting the toothbrush in I noticed that the U shaped design did not reach my back teeth completely/properly (which is my most difficult area in my mouth to get clean) so just setting it (V-WHITE Ultrasonic U-Shaped Toothbrush) onto the teeth and leaving it to just do its thing was in no way going to get them all cleaned despite the video on Amazon showing that, which was disappointing. On the matter of the brushes vibration: It can feel a bit intense but not horrible, the nausea that I get by the vibration from a regular electric toothbrushes is far worse and I didn't get any nausea when using this (V-WHITE Ultrasonic U-Shaped Toothbrush), it however did leave a lingering weird feeling from said vibration but went away quickly enough to not be overly bothersome. I didn't get the gagging result nor the bleeding gum problem that the use of regular electric toothbrushes cause me. When using the toothbrush, I discovered that it's helpful to wiggle it a bit & shift to different spots in my mouth for better results, I did it at least 2xs per spot for 30 seconds (the built in timer was super useful) hopefully it'll give me more effective results, all that was still less complicated/frustrating/time consuming than trying to angle/brush with a regular electric toothbrush and I was able to see that it did in fact work to clean my teeth in some way when (starting directly after using mouthwash before brushing) it got some gunk pieces out from between my teeth with the vibration truly proving it at least does work even if not as effectively as I was hoping. When finished brushing and getting to the whole cleaning/rinsing the brush part I learned that what toothpaste you use WILL matter. I usually use some variation of the Crest brand or whatever my dentist decides to give me at my visit (because why waste it) however because a foaming toothpaste is suggested by this toothbrush I tried a gel toothpaste, my normal toothpaste, and the foaming kind. The gel one needed a bit longer to rinse out than I'd have preferred. My normal Crest toothpaste was more frustrating than even that to clean though not to the point that it became a deal breaker. Finally the foaming toothpaste was easily the only one that didn't take long or take more time than should be needed to rinse out. (it's all the rubbery bristles and what not that keeps toothpaste trapped in a bit causing a longer cleaning time) Finding one that is going to be a healthy version might end up being difficult as I discovered foaming toothpaste doesn't seem to have as many choices as other types of toothpaste, still not a deal breaker as I can just buy any kind and it'll just take longer to clean out. After using it - it was obvious it won't clean my teeth as effectively as a regular electric toothbrush. The fact it doesn't get the back teeth properly made that clear from the get go. Still it's better than not brushing at all or simply only using mouthwash as proven by the little gunk pieces that got cleaned out. So if you have difficulty with other methods of brushing than this at least will get your teeth somewhat cleaned compared to not being able to do anything but it will not be as effective as one would ideally want. If buying here's my best advice: To get actual results rather than the rather uselessness you get by just setting it on your teeth do not just hold it in your mouth like it shows in the video, shifting it to different angles after the 30 second timer works better and doing it more than once (let's say at least 2xs for each spot you choose) also will help. Also SERIOUSLY IMPORTANT: If the base isn't plugged in the cordless toothbrush WILL NOT WORK. Which fair & probably obvious to everyone else but me. I though it just needed plugged in when the toothbrush battery needed charged but it in fact needs it to be plugged in just to work at all. Better instructions would be nice, like how do you change the brush head when it eventually needs changed would be extremely useful information! For me and my needs it was worth every bit of money I spent. My teeth are cleaner and no longer dingy due to the majority of the time only being able to use mouth wash instead of brushing due to nausea.

Love this item for special needs...but poor quality & stopped working.
I bought this item in March 2022 and again recently in March 2024. It was an ideal item to help clean my son's teeth. His dentist noticed improvement after we began using this item at night and also a 3-sided manual toothbrush in the morning. We also noticed that his teeth were no longer overly sensitive on the left side. The product that I purchased in 2022 was very tricky and frustrating to charge. When I bought the same product again recently I was pleased that it seemed the charging base had been improved so it wasn't tricky to align and get the charge light on. Unfortunately, after using it for 3 weeks it stopped working. It seemed that the base was charging while the blue light faded in and out but even after charging overnight it wouldn't turn on. I received a refund from Amazon. I am disappointed because it is a great item to have to use for my son who has cerebral palsy but I haven't been able to find another similar product to purchase. I hope they will continue to make improvements to this product because it can help in the care of people with special needs and their caregivers.

Not great, but ok for those w/executive dysfunction/disabilities
I'm a little conflicted on this one. The first 45 second pass (this product's own prescribed amount of time for a "deep" clean) that I tried with this felt like it did not clean at all. So, I started recording a video for this review to show exactly what the super soft bristles are doing to the teeth. I probably "brushed" 2 or 3 more times in doing so for the video. And after that, I'll admit, my teeth did feel much cleaner. But you can absolutely see in my video that this does not clean your teeth well. It does not get in between your teeth at all. The soft bristles glide over your teeth parallel to them. I'd think to get any sort of cleaning action the bristles would have to get to a place where they are perpendicular to the teeth and be a bit stiffer. I tried to record another video to show how I load the brush with toothpaste, but learned you're only allowed 1 video. So I took screenshots of the video and hope those are helpful. Remember that with regular toothpaste, only a pea sized amount is needed unless using Sensodyne or other specialized toothpastes. With the nature of this mouth tray, you'll want that pea sized amount to be pretty evenly dispersed across the whole length, in both bottom and top trays. You can disperse it in a thin layer by threading the toothpaste opening through the ridge/channel/grooves to get down into the mouth tray. Then as the tray is in your mouth, move the tray side to side. All that being said, is it better than nothing? Sure. I bought this for my own executive dysfunction issues having ADHD. So if you have found that you just can't bring yourself to fully, deep clean brush your teeth on a daily basis, I'd say go for it. At the price of around $40, it's more accessible than other electric toothbrushes out there. Use this as often as you need to have low functioning days, then strive to use a better toothbrush maybe on the weekend, or once/day. As my boyfriend suggests, this brush may also be a better option to take camping or on a trip. I feel like our Sonicare is just as portable/usable on the go as this, so idk what he's talking about lol. Maybe takes up less space. I'd for sure use this whole driving or running out the door though, much more suitable for that than a full toothbrush. Just something to think about. And if you're a care taker for someone with dementia, or on the autism spectrum, or any other disability that has reduced a person's ability to care for themselves (as I've seen mentioned in some reviews), do not feel bad for using this if it can make your day even just a little bit easier or less stressful. You deserve to have easier access to care for yourself or another. You're doing great and you're doing enough.
