Can these be used in the miele twindos wwd660 wcs ? - if so, how do you change the detergent type in the washing machine menu?

Yes, these are compatible. I use twindos 1 fir washing detergent and twindos 2 for Ace bleach. I tried adding fabric softener but I found it released too early in in the wash and therefore didn't leave a lasting scent. The handbook for tyhe machine has all the instructions needed in t

What detergent type do i put into self-fill twindos 1 and what detergent type do i put into self-fill twindos 2?

Whatever liquid detergent you like and/or fabric conditioner. You decide which container (1 or 2) and then update the settings accordingly - I'd recommend spending a bit of time reading the instructions manual, it's well written and well worth it!

My Miele washing machine came with twindos cartridges installed. Is it possible to refill them when empty or must I buy 2 plastic boxes?

No, the ones supplied with the machine are sealed and "single use". It's theoretically possible to cut a hole in and fit a bung, but I would say it's more trouble than it is worth!
