Excellent cook book. Sam Choy has great taste and his simple recipes are easy enough for anyone to enjoy.

This book was a gift to friends who will be traveling to the Big Island in the Spring. They were thrilled with the recipes and helpful hints from Sam. Thought it might be fun for them to have this book so they could try a few favorite dishes while they are in Kona, a place with so many great memories for me and hopefully they will find the Farmers Market and KTA in Keahou to be a favorite place to shop. Sam Choy makes the best hawaii local food. Book is much bigger than I anticipated, sturdy and heavy. Will be a perfect gift for the homesick hawaiian!

A co-worker brought this cookbook into work so I could look for pupu recipes. Well, about 30 seconds into the cookbook I knew I had to have it in my collection. It has arrived today and I am on my way to the market now for scallops! I am looking forward to eating my way through this while cookbook. So, break open the okolehao and let's get cooking!

After living in the islands, I purchased two of Sam Choy's cookbooks and frequently make his recipes. Every one has been the best!!
