Avalon Organics Therapy Biotin B-Complex Thickening Conditioner, For an Energized Scalp and Thicker, Fuller-Looking Hair, 14 Fluid Ounces

Really like this conditioner. Ever since I started using this with the shampoo I don't have to use my psoriasis shampoo as often. Even use it on my beard and mustache, and I may be imagining this but my facial hair seems fuller.

My hair has always been thin and straight, but as I got older it got worse. I've been using this conditioner and the shampoo that goes with it for almost a year, and the difference in the thickness of my hair is absolutely amazing! Highly recommended.

I cut my hair almost 1 year ago now but I've been missing the length for a long time so I've been trying to speed up the process with hair growth Shampoo and Conditioner. I wanted to love this since I've tried some other products by Avalon Organics in the past with good results. The Shampoo lathered pretty good and washed out fine. The first problem I noticed was that it didn't feel like my hair was hydrated/moisturized and it was noticeably more tangled.. The Conditioner felt better and helped give my hair more hydration but problem number 2 was that using both of these made my scalp burn for a while. I got momentary relief when I used a hydrating shampoo and conditioner afterwards but it persisted when I got out of the shower. Upon inspection, I saw that my scalp was red so I used some Rosewater on it which again only provided slight relief until it persisted for about 5 more minutes. Problem number 3 was the smell. It's not too bad of a smell but I was hoping it would smell like Rosemary as it seems like that's what the herb on the container is. Granted, it does smell like Rosemary but there's something else in there that I can't tell what it is resulting in a subtle scent. Apparently some other people said there's had a strong smell so I assume it differs by batch. Problem number 4 was the packaging. I ordered both the Shampoo and Conditioner and received them together but for some reason only the Shampoo was in a bag and had a sticker on the top to prevent leaking. The Conditioner... it wasn't even closed right, had no sticker or plastic bag to protect it and so it unfortunately leaked. Thankfully it only leaked in that small spot that it was in so it didn't explode all over the package or any of the other items I had. And that's the thing.. I don't think Avalon Organics shipped this to me directly so I can't even be mad at them for the packaging, had I gone to the store to purchase this (like I honestly should've done) then this wouldn't have happened. In the end I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin like myself. I've never had a sensitive scalp only skin (particularly on my face, hands, and chest) but this seems too strong for my hair and scalp with the irritation and drying it causes. I might just go back to Hask as I've had good results with their biotin Shampoo/Conditioner but for now the search continues... Also I highly recommend to use a leave in afterwords as I feel like it made my hair more frizzy than usual. Even if you don't suffer from frizz with this product or in general, I'd still recommend it to anyone as hydrated hair tends to shed less causing more growth in the long run. Update: I've since tried Mielle's Rosemary Shampoo, Masque, and Oil, and the results have been drastically better. I'd recommend trying those out if you've had bad results with Avalon.

It's a really good product. However you need to keep in mind that this is not the typical conditioner. It kind of feels weird when you put it on, like watery and not soft. It's a weird texture. But if you follow the instructions, when you're washing it, you can feel the results. It's actually a good product, just weird texture.

I see a lot of improvement in my hair's health after using this shampoo and conditioner for few months. New hairs are coming out, there is less breakage and it's totally more full in volume. I do recommend only using it 3-4 times per week though, so it doesn't overwhelm your hair. And use some other organic product in between, just a regular shampoo and conditioner, also at least one mask a week is great for a total treatment. Don't leave this one on hair for more than 3 minutes UPDATE: It's been more than a year I'm using this product. I use it combined with Maui shampoo and conditioner for fine hair, 1 wash I use this product and next Maui. Gives different type of hydration I feel like, so decided to so it that way. I was told to never use conditioner on roots but after reading a label on this product again, where it says to use on roots and ends, it actually is helping my hair even more! My roots became stronger. I used to see a lot of hair falling out together with a little root but now it's not happening anymore. Also starting massaging scalp every other day, I think that helps too. Very happy with this one thank you!!

To begin, I would like to note that I definitely like the shampoo much more than the conditioner. I have now been using the combination of Biotin B shampoo and conditioner for about 2 months now. I would also like to explain a little bit about my hair - I have medium shoulder length, straight hair. I have very oily skin, which then gets my hair oily by the end of the day. My scalp also gets very itchy, something I have attributed to an allergy in the "chemical" shampoos (I formerly used Artec by Loreal professional, Joico, and Matrix). I also swim in a chlorinated pool on a fairly regular basis. Pros: organic - need I say more? gentle - I takes away my itch, and I have not had any other problems with dandruff or anything. The first ingredient listed is Aloe. So/So: smell - not super yummy, but not intolerable either Cons: Tangles!!! No matter how much I use, the conditioner does not detangle my hair. I let my hair dry, almost completely before I comb it (sometimes that's hard) Oil fields. For some reason, this conditioner really makes my hair oily. Before I even get out of the shower, my hair is so gluey, oily, and just not even nice. I let it just dry that way, to see if it's only appearing oily while it's wet; nope. It weighed down my hair, and it just wasn't as flowy and light. To help, (I really wanted to give the combination a good go) I began not completely rinsing the shampoo out of my hair prior to adding the conditioner. I would then completely rinse the shampoo and conditioner simultaneously. This did alleviate a good chunk of the oil, but my hair still felt weighed down. Quantity to condition. In order to get the conditioner to completely get to all of my hair, I had to use a ton! It is really thick, and hard to spread throughout my hair. I ended up running out of conditioner at the time that my shampoo was half empty. As far as "thickening" goes, I have noticed with using the combination of shampoo + conditioner, that my hair is not necessarily thicker, however, I have noticed that as I wash/condition my hair, less hair falls out during the showering process. I used to have so much hair in the drain after a shower that my boyfriend used to joke, "how are you not bald by now?!?", but now I only loose maybe 7 or so hairs in the shower. A MAJOR decrease. With less hair falling out, I would certainly say that my hair is able to "thicken", not on an individual strand level, but overall my head of hair is thicker. Would I purchase again - yes/no. I would purchase the shampoo again (I overall liked the way it cleaned, and made my scalp feel), but I would probably not purchase the conditioner again. I suppose I will continue on the hunt for the perfect shampoo/conditioner combo.

I’ve been using this brand for several years now and I’m a recurring buyer. This has an organic, vegan smell and doses detangle your hairs and make it look nice after you get out the shower. My hair feels extremely soft from it. Only problem I have is this is such a huge thick bottle and I keep thinking each squirt would come out thick like every other shampoo and conditioner. This is my small pet peeve

My hair does look thicker, but I don’t know if it has anything to do with more hair growing. What I do know is that my scalp is usually quite irritated and this conditioner does not irritate my scalp at all. It is quite calming. Also, it leaves my hair so incredibly soft when you apply it it doesn’t feel thick and creamy it actually sort of disappears into your hair. After rinsing, it is so nice my hair feels very silky and soft instead of how it’s been lately which is sort of stiff and unmanageable. I’m 51 years old. My hair used to be so nice and it took so little to make it nice. Now I have a lot less hair and it has recently felt really just quite brittle with the normal shampoo and conditioner I have used in the past this conditioner is really great for my hair.

Excelente me encantó el aroma

This conditioner works really well for my hair type - dry and thin. It does not lather or stick to the hair while applying it like other conditioners do, making it feel as if you didn't apply anything at all, but it works. 5/5 stars for having ingredients that are gentle on the scalp.
