A little expensive, but high quality. I hurt my back a few years ago and found it hard to sit on a zafu cushion. This is much more comfortable for me. The seat is sloped in such a way as to be perfect for a traditional meditation posture (erect spine, etc.). I got the tallest version of this and it is nice, though it sits a little higher than I was expecting. I am 5'11".

First, this bench is very high quality and is everything as described: Solid but light-weight, comfortable. No padding required. The legs can be removed and all parts put in the linen bag it comes with for easy portability. Personally, I loved this bench from the moment I opened the box but love it even more now that I've experienced an unexpected benefit... I got the standard size to use for my prayer time. I was raised to have and still maintain good posture but I do have heavier thighs, not huge but also not skinny, and unexpectedly tight knees and ankles undoubtedly from injuries sustained playing sports. As such, though the seat itself has always been comfortable, for me, the kneeling position was surprisingly difficult. The discomfort would be so distracting I had to ease off every few minutes for relief. However, with daily use, my knees and ankles have gotten stronger and much more flexible such that I can now sit for an hour or more without discomfort. Now I just need to loose a little fluff off my thighs so that my feet aren't asleep when it's time to stand! Haha. I very much recommend this to anyone that needs to kneel more comfortably.

Love this bench. Handmade in Canada. I wonder if the price will go up? I’m so glad I bought two of these before our lunatic president started a trade war with our friends to the north. Very comfortable bench. I can’t sit in full Lotus or half Lotus or crisscross applesauce for very long without having knee and hip pain. But with this bench, I can sit for a long time with a straight spine. To still your mind, you must first still your body. Meditation is like letting all the snow in a slow globe settle to the bottom

This was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable to sit in. I did have to return it because it didn't work for the activity I needed it for, and it was too expensive to keep if I didn't have a need for it. Easy to assemble just as described

So far, this is the best meditation bench I've ever used. I am six feet tall and about 220 lbs. I bought this bench to alleviate pinching nerves in my left hip and allow me to sit for longer periods with good posture and no pain. It helps a ton. I've seen people say that the bench is a little over-priced. I do not feel this way at all. Before I was a working scientist, I was a working carpenter, and the bench feels very sturdy and well made. To build a bench like this by hand would take more effort than what they are asking for. To top all this off, they hand wrote, "Thank you" with a ❤. Do yourself a solid, and buy the last bench you'll ever use.

I have the darker choice. It is stylish and comfortable. Easy to take apart, assemble, and lightweight to carry. It is often used at my coffee table for meals in addition to meditation. I was afraid it would not be sturdy or I would feel off balance but it feels solid and people of various heights seem to feel it works for them. House guest like to try it out and are generally impressed. It is a bit of a conversation starter. The cotton tote it comes with was clearly ripped before I even took it out of the shipping box. The box was perfectly intact and the product was well cushioned in the packaging. So I wouldn't plan on the tote lasting for any length of time. This isn't a great marketing strategy since the bag has the company name. The underside of the chair has a wood brand with the logo, I think, but no one can make out the name when people want to know who made it. The bench isn't an awkward size to fit in a generic bag/tote but it would be nicer in the more fitted bag so the pieces don't wiggle about so much. Not a huge problem but since it is a top selling point on the product description and photos, I felt it was only fair to mention it.

It is beautiful and really comfortable. It was shipped with a nice note from the company. This is perfect for my meditation practice, and it has already inspired me to practice more.

I've had a meditation practice for six year now, and I've sat on a lot of things. This is by far the MOST comfortable sitting thing I've used. I've used zafu's zambutons, chairs, my bed, various benches, arranged various ways. This bench just sits me in the right spot so that I don't have to struggle with position. I'm dealing with tendinitis in a hip, and therefore can't sit cross-legged for who knows how long. This bench is perfect for me, is solid and easy to put together. Portability is a plus. I like that there's no pad so that I can feel my seat bones to make sure there's euqal weight on each.

I have a mild scoliosis and have struggled to find a comfortable meditation posture. This has been a godsend! Would have given 5 * but for the cost. Even allowing for the shipping it’s a bit pricey. That said, I took a punt and it payed off.

When I first got this bench for Christmas, I was really looking forward to trying it out. Up until that point, I was just using a rectangle stool. It was pretty comfortable and it was better than sitting on my feet. My body, at this point, cannot sit in the lotus position. Right off the bat, I could tell that the quality of the bench was extremely high, the pieces were thick and sturdy. It was quick and easy to assemble. I am about 6'3 and opted for the 20" inch bench. The slant took some getting used to and I always had the sensation that I could slip off. After a week, I decided I was going to return it. I was used to my stool and figured I could just by a wedge for my bum, to get that slant, for a fraction of the cost. After 2 days of returning to my stool, I changed my mind. After using the bench for a week, I never noticed how sore my bum was using the stool. Needless to say, I cancelled the return and have not looked back. I am meditating for an hour to an hour and a half now and I am very comfortable. No back pain, No bum pain. Thank you for producing such a high quality bench and for helping me to continue to grow my meditation practices. Well worth every dollar! Rob

I purchased this bench because I was having some back pain during my longer meditation sessions. It’s a really well-made bench. It’s beautiful, sturdy, easy to assemble, comfortable and I love the color. I also enjoyed the unboxing experience because it was packaged very well. You do not need a cushion. The bench is very comfortable and I can see myself sitting on it for a long time. Some of the comments mentioned that it is on the pricier side. I think for what you’re getting in terms of craftsmanship, functionality, and an aesthetically pleasing piece, it’s worth the money.

Il a tout pour lui, ce petit banc de méditation. J'avais de la difficulté à garder mon dos droit lors de mes séances. Je dois dire que ce petit banc a réglé mon problème. Ce qui est bien aussi, c'est le fait qu'il soit démontable et portatif! Compagnie montréalaise au très bon et rapide service à la clientèle. Ce banc est un peu plus cher que d'autres vus sur Amazone, mais je ne regrette pas son achat. En plus, j'achète local! Que demander de plus?

There is very little to dislike about this bench. It was very simple to assemble and fit me perfectly. I'm 6' and my legs are very comfortable. The height is just right. My first few meditation sessions using the bench were the best I've experienced. I've not had to use IKUKO customer service, but the contact info inside the packaging made it clear that they are there for you. If you're looking for a comfortable bench, this is it.
