After delving into the world of troubleshooting a conveyor system for my business I decided I need to little more knowledge to help not only troubleshoot more effectively in the future and to help save money and time as well. This led me to "Motion Control Basics: Troubleshooting Skills for CNC & Robotics" and I have to say that it was a great choice for me. What I liked about the guide is that it takes a complex subject and distills it down into a down-to-earth and easy to understand book that no matter your skill level you will be able to learn and make use of. Gary Anderson provides a host of information and visual aids to properly teach you about the basics of motion control and the systems used for it. it's well-written with a straightforward tone and a clearly educational background, allowing you to gain a full knowledge of these systems for future use. Overall, it proved to be a great read and I would certainly recommend it for others wanting to dive into the world of motion control basics.

I needed to get up to speed with CNC and PLCs, I was required to program some old Telemechanique PLCs. This is the first guide I've picked up on the subject and Gary does a great job of explaining the different components, as well as providing photos to easily identify each component.The book goes into detail to some extend, but it is supposed to cover the basics. If you are looking for something more advanced, you will have to look into something else. This is a great resource for beginners.Recommended!!!

Mr. Anderson wrote a good brief book in this field. Even though the book is not detailed, it gives enough information to get started troubleshooting CNC problems.

Excellent handbook for begginers , it have important concepts about the main devices that we need to check in any machine tool

This book was one step above a 10 page hand written users manual that comes with a newly purchased vcr. They don't give you a review of the inside because the preview would be the whole book. Buy something else this is a waste of your money.

This book has a lot of very basic information, it's great for those who know absolutely nothing about the subject.
