Tree Mate O stands are easy to use and store. The stands are durable and have a cleaner look compared to the traditional set. There are no wires to cut, to trip over, making them safer while saving time. 3" sections have wide vertical sides that protect the tree trunk and allow trees to sway, producing faster root force and better trunk shape. Side tabs and rubber bands provide flexible support, making them ideal for all types of trees. Fits both "T" and "U" posts. (not included) price each. Model: TR15; UPC: 680362000056. Review: Great product! Absolute lifesaver! - This product single handedly saved my hydrangea tree. We had an especially wet spring and early summer. My tree loved it and grew a bunch, but the wet ground resulted in it being blown over with every storm that would roll through. I tried various methods of staking the tree with little success. Once I bought this I've had no problems with the tree. It does a great job of supporting the tree without limiting growth. 5 stars! Review: They work great! - Amazing solution for supporting newly planted tree. We have two ... One on our grapefruit tree and one on our mango tree. I was previously using wooden stakes and green garden tape but 2x the wooden stakes broke during wind storms here. This is a much better solution! Only downfall is the cheap rubber bands ... They should either be nicer or they should include 3 or 4. Purchased the metal t-posts for about 4 bucks each at the local chain big box stores.

Probably would have been better if driven in with rubber mallet or something other ...
First impression: Way bigger than I expected. Seems well made. Instructions are clear and simple. After driving my stake into the ground, the top of it had become deformed from hammering on it. This made getting the Tree Mate-O on rather difficult. I was cursing the product at the time, but the fault is probably in the stake I used. It was old and probably weak from laying under a shed for years. Probably would have been better if driven in with rubber mallet or something other than a standard hammer too. Once on the stake and around the tree, the support is doing its job. It doesn't look to gawdy and I'm sure it will last the tree through its first year.

Good initial impression
Used the Tree Mate O Support system this weekend to support 10 new barefoot trees that were about 10' tall on average. They were super easy to install. We dug the hole and actually set the fence post in solid ground at the bottom of the edge of the freshly dug hole. Made it easy to align the tree roots that way. The posts are buried about 2' deep as a result (once the hole is filled in for our case) but we have an easy way to pull posts out when we are ready. This is so much easier than trying to use several posts around the perimeter of the tree and tying the tree off with straps or ropes, etc. I don't know what I think of the rubber bands yet but compared to how other methods stake down trees I am not sure they are really needed. The bands did help bring a tree into alignment, especially when you can't always put a post in the ground perfectly straight. We planted 1 tree in an area that was very rocky so we eliminated staking it altogether. I am curious to see how that holds up vs. the trees that were secured. I was not impressed with the quality of the fence posts I found at the local big box store. When they sheared / cut the posts the ends were rounded over. I was worried that the Tree Mate O was not going to fit on the post as a result. It fit perfectly. The folks over there obviously did their homework before launching the product. I am hoping I get to use these each year for several years as we keep planting trees. Our plan is to remove the stakes either late this fall or first thing next spring.

Great for dwarf apple trees
I’ve used these on dwarf apple trees and small weeping trees. They work well for small trees as the rubber band allows some movement for better root growth, but the tree doesn’t hit the hard plastic ring. I’ve had some of these for 3 years and the bands haven’t broken. Just remember you have to buy your own t- or u-post. Some reviewers get mad because they don’t read the full product description.

Supper easy and sturdy product.
These things are awesome. The trees are planted in a very windy area of our yard with no protection so we have struggled with many different kinds of tree stabilization kits. This was easy to install and very strong and sturdy. We used 2 of them on one tree bcz it became so floppy from the lack of support and it is a windy day out and the stabilizers allow that same tree to sway with out it being floppy. This fits the small T and U shaped green stakes(not the kind that they use for cattle fencing but the smaller ones. Luckily we some smaller ones but we could easily get them at a big box store in the garden section. We stabilized 3 trees in about 5 min wish we would have found these last yr bcz we spent a lot of time and money through out the last yr trying different products and they usually involved really small spikes and lots of rope or Velcro straps, cork screw anchors or thin wire. They all looked hideous and in no time our trees were flopping around in the wind. Don’t let the pic deceive you these things are big. And the band that comes with allows the tree to gently sway without hitting the plastic.

Very sturdy added support!
These are excellent, strong, sturdy tree supports for saplings and growing trees. Be sure to use the heavy rubber band provided in the center of the loop. It allows the tree to sway which strengthens root growth. These are used by professional landscapers everywhere.

Works Perfectly
This was a skeptical purchase that worked out much better than I had thought. It does a great job holding up a young tree - keeping it in place and growing straight. We've had some storms roll through with high winds and this does a great job of keeping our small tree protected. I would purchase this again - especially for the price.
