would this work for wood windows?

I'm sure it would, but i worry that it would be too harsh. i used it on metal. I would turn the blaster down so that it was not pulling out much soda and check that you were not causing harm to the wood.

Is this food grade bicarbonate of soda?

Not sure. But it worked on an old door I was stripping paint from.

Would this work on pool tile for calcium buildup

I would think so, but you might want to try a finer grit. As a plus you won't have to put in baking soda for a while

is this considered fine medium or coarse? I don't know much about soda blasting, trying to gather info.
