REUZEL Blue Pomade, Strong All Day Hold, Water Soluble Styling, High Shine and Flake Free, Easy To Wash Out, For All Hair Types

So why is this my favorite? I’ve used so many different types of pomade over the years. This is one of the few that has remained the same over the last decade. I first purchased this stuff back in 2015, and I loved it. The problem was that my grooming supply store went out of business, and I just went to using other stuff out of “convenience.” The problem was every time I’d wash my hair out with other products, it just felt l as if there was plastic binding to my hair. I really don’t know how to explain it. But with this stuff, my hair is soft and feels clean after using it. Exactly the same as it did almost 10 years ago when I first started using this pomade. The hold is good, washes out super already, has a nostalgic scent for me, and is easy to work with throughout the day while I’m at work. Kudos to maintaining quality over the years and not selling out like other brands have!

So... I had quite the journey finding this. First tried multiple gels, axe pomade, nothing would hold my very thick hair down. I had 2 and a half inch long hair on the top and I had just recently buzzed my head to about a 2-3 last month. I really missed my long hair so I tried growing it out. After seeing multiple people and noticing it could be done with shorter hair, I started trying it myself. Gel and all these pomades weren't working very well. These people that tried it had much thinner hair and they didn't have nearly as thick hair as I did... so I turned to reddit. I asked about the best pomade, something that could really hold my thick and close to an inch hair down: so I can comb it in a similar side-parted fashion. I received this in the mail on Tuesday, I was amazed. Though my hair isn't quite long enough to FULLY stay down, it's got another week or two left before it's there. It held it down the first bits of my hair I put this on. I do have to use quite a bit to get it to stay down, as my hair is short and very thick.. but it did the trick. And the stuff smells amazing and lasts a long time! I wake up the next morning even after washing it, and it's still in my hair a little bit. It hardens a bit, even with a little product. It's so strong yet so light when you touch it, you feel like it can come apart. And it washes out in one wash and it doesn't have my hair feeling dry or horrible and it doesn't stick to my scalp. Thank you Reuzel! This is truly great stuff. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in my situation.

My husband has used the Ruezel products for years. He likes a strong hold with not a ton of shine. He hadn’t had any for almost a year and I got him this for his birthday. He loves it, and it smells SO good. It doesn’t flake away like a lot of other pomades, and it’s the perfect amount of hold without too much shine, & I love the smell soo much I wish there was a lotion/body spray in the scent. The 12oz tin will last him a little over a year usually. Totally Worth the cost! Great product.

In comparison to similar products the Reuzel in the blue tin is pretty good, but it is not great. The feel coming out of the tin is a little stiffer than other pomades and it takes a little more effort to apply this and work it into may hair than other similar products. However, hold is excellent. HOLD: It keeps my hair in place throughout the day and it has a good amount of sheen. The hold, like the product, is a bit more stiff than other "firm hold" pomades. But this is not an issue for me since I prefer my hair stay put. SCENT: The scent is the most subjective part of this product. Some might like it a lot. To me it is sweet smelling and potent with an undertone that I can only describe as chemical. It remains a significant part of the experience with using this product throughout the entire day so if you dislike sweet scents, this is likely to become an issue very quickly. I don't mind the quality of the scent, but I do find it a bit too potent. In fact, it remains in my hair for a couple of days after using it. STAYING POWER: At least on my hair, the product flakes. The flakes are very small and not noticeable from a distance but they are clearly visible when standing at conversation distance. This is disappointing because it can make it look like you have dust in your hair. A light re-wetting of the product corrects this, but it comes right back in a few hours. Unfortunately, for me this is the quality that knocks it down from being great to being just good. It does not affect the hold. That remains strong. But it does affect the look. SUMMARY: If you enjoy sweet, powerful scents, a good lasting strong hold, and don't mind having to periodically use a small amount of water to refresh your look/get rid of small flakes this product might be for you.

Water soluble and for those that remember what barber shop talcum powder smelled like, this is it. Very nostalgic for me. Great product.

Strong hold and smell really good

I was never into high shine products especially when it came to water-soluble. However this is very nice, I would call it more of a medium-heavy as apposed to a heavy. You can get some good volume but not like Reuzel's Fiber or Pink Grease. It breaks down and goes in the hair like a dream, but does dry quickly and gets semi-solid. I have found that if you use a smaller amount of this product it loses its shine. It is recommended to put in slightly wet hair, just make sure it is not too wet as I have been experimenting and sometimes if you put it in wet hair, the product kind of goes to the sides of your head and leave the top weak and the sides too sticky. Damp hair, a proper amount, and good comb work and you can get some very nice styles that do last all day. As far as rework ability, this takes the cake. A little bit of water or more product and you can rework any style. I've even had this in my hair while at my girlfriends house, to which I fell asleep and when I woke up the next morning with bed head, I went into the bathroom with some water and a comb and was instantly clean cut again. Called me Reuzel Biased but this is a 5/5 for me.

Reuzel is my go-to hair product, there is many out there but most don’t meet the mark. This stuff is a nice strong hold but doesn’t make your hair look greasy, washes out very easily and smells great!
