What is the total length of the hammer please

SPECIFICATIONS Specifications SPEC-M22CF-S Flat Dark Earth/Black 16-in Yes Polypropylene, TPR Yes Yes Lifetime Limited Warranty Yes 22 oz. Yes Rip Claw High Carbon Steel Face Milled

Can this be used for scaffolding

I’d say not. You’re best off using a selection of metal pipes and wooden planks for scaffolding.

what is the diameter of the striking head?

The head is a waffle head, it's not square in shape, so is 36mm in one direction and 33mm in the other, so more of a rectangle with rounded corners. I have had mine for a couple of years. It is slightly heavier than most framing hammers, but once you are used to the weight it's a great hammer. Feels good, very little if any vibration down the handle aswell.

Would this be ideal for roofing or is it too big ? Really like this but not sure if I should go with this or an estwing claw hammer

It’s not too big, I use if for fencing. Plastic head is well made, if you take it off then there is a rough head which will mark things. Not sure whether you want it to mark where your roofing.
