Review: A Mountain Bike Parent Essential - When you live with a child who loves to mountain bike, you become very familiar with gear like this. Thankfully, this chest protector is one of those purchases that gives parents a little extra peace of mind and kids the confidence to ride hard. It's lightweight, comfortable, and provides excellent coverage without restricting movement. My son had no complaints about the fit or comfort, which may be the highest praise a teenager can give. It stays in place, fits well under riding gear, and offers solid protection without feeling bulky. Alpinestars has a strong reputation for a reason. The quality is obvious, and this feels like equipment designed by people who actually understand the sport. Not the most exciting purchase, but definitely one of the smartest if you have a mountain biker in the family.
