Nursing Drug Handbook 2014 34th Edition

I've been a nurse for close to 30 years and I have always owned a current handbook from this publisher. Medications are easy to find on the index. The pictures of the medications are very clear and colorful. I am a registered nurse case manager and see my patients in their homes. I never go without my Drug Handbook as I refer to it quite often since most of my patients are on multiple medications--sometimes up to 20-25 different medications. This book has saved me so much time because the medications are easily found and the format makes it easy to locate pertinent information quickly.

I have been a RN for more than 20 years and this book has ALWAYS been the most popular one I see around my workplace. My daughter is now working as a med aide as she is in pre-nursing. She needed something to look up medications at work, something user friendly and complete. She loves this reference!! All her friends at work ask to borrow it! And as I told her, she will use this reference through nursing school as well. Will definitely keep buying each addition of this Drug Handbook.

Bought this for those awful drug cards. Use it in conjunction with another drug book and that has worked out amazingly well. Would suggest if you are a nursing student you do the same. The other book has meds that this one doesn't and vice versa. This book is super easy to use and is by far the one I use most often. I looked at I can't tell you how many and even compared this to the books some of the other students had. If you can only afford to buy one, get this one. Takes a minute to get used to how it's set up but like I said, once you do this book is golden.

Great book for looking up medicine

This is the best book ever! I refer to this book often when I was in school writing up Nursing care plans. All the drugs are listed in alphabetical order and all the information you need is all within this book. It is a great go to book when you need to review for an exam. A must have book if you are attending nursing or any kind of medical field. Highly recommend .

I manage two pain management offices for the same physician. I ordered a copy of this book for each office. The nurses were thrilled to get the latest edition. We do a lot of staff and patient education and the nurses are quizzed on adverse reactions on the most commonly prescribed medications annually to help them to identify those reactions when interviewing the patients for their appointments and for the phone triage line. The book is good to have as reference for the various strengths the medication is supplied in case someone needs a decrease in their dosage.

Great book, this is the third time I have bought this book over the years and have not been disappointed. It is always easy to read and understand and great information. I recommend this book to anyone who in the medical profession or just wants to understand the medication that their doctor puts them on , be informed.

This book came in great condition and the cost was great too.The only thing I would say is that if you want this in a hurryyou won't be getting this one that way. This took foreverto get just about 4 to 6 weeks. Other than that I am very pleased.
