GouldsPumps LSP0311AT Submersible Sump Pump, Piggy Back Wide Angle Float Switch, 1/3 hp, 115V, Silver

The Gould's LSP0311AT Submersible pump has worked perfect since we installed it. It is quiet and all you hear is the water as it starts to flow through the pipe when the pump turns on. It's light weight, made of stainless steel and works great with the Zoeller 30-0181 check valve we also bought and installed with it at the same time. It was shipped fast with Amazon Prime. The check valve is silent. The Pump is much quieter than the old Gould's pump it replaced and keeps the water level lower than the old pump which is better. You can't ask for better than that. I'd highly recommend this pump and check valve.

When we bought our house it had a pond and waterfall driven by 3 of these pumps that appears quite old. One was dead at the time, but we didn't replace it then. A 2nd died about 6 months later and about 3 months after that the output from the 3rd pump started to slow and finally stopped. So we bit the bullet & bought a replacement.Turned out that the input to the 3rd pump was merely clogged and was was easily cleared. And the 2nd pump came back to life after being removed from the pond & tested - don't know why. So we had 2 working pumps again & are keeping the 3rd (which was installed briefly to test) as a spare.These pumps put out a LOT of water - even to the roughly 12 ft height of the top of our waterfall. Three working pumps would have been way overkill. I think the waterfall designed underestimated the flow rates of the pumps. Even 2 pumps is marginally too much. We may end up reverting to use of a single pump.

I replaced the original LSP0311AT from 1991 as a precaution before it actually failed. The pump lasted 26 years without a problem so there was no reason to think of buying another brand. I was happy to see the direct replacement still available and made in the same manufacturing location (Italy). Thanks to Goulds and the manufacturing team in Italy for making a reliable product that works great and has provided many years of reliable operation.

This is the same sump pump that we had. I think it is a bit pricey but since it was piped the same it was easy to install. It is very quiet and works well.

Love the pump but the last two I bought the float switch was not included.

after install found out the float did not work. I found amazon return policy very easy to follow, and things worked out, I received a new pump in two days.

We found out the first year living in our house that the soil didn't drain well. In 1991, we arranged our landscaping so that french drains led to two areas. My husband then installed outdoor sump pump boxes with Gould pumps. One finally stopped working this winter. When we pulled the pump, I wrote down the numbers from the old pump and was shocked to see that Gould still made this model! 31 years is good enough service for me. My husband can no longer get down on his hands and knees to install the replacement pump, but it was easy for me to do. And to make the deal sweeter, Amazon had the best price!

This is a back-up for my Goulds pump that is already in my basement sump hole and has worked flawlessly for a few years. I want to be ready if the original pump fails for any reason and while I could have chosen any pump as a potential replacement some day, I am very happy with this product and wanted to switch one with the other should the need arise.
