I considere rating the “thickness” as a 3 instead of a 5 because they are thin tissue paper and some of our littles colored holes right into them. But they still flew (despite the holes) so I guess I’m glad they are so thin or they might not get off the ground! Anyway, they were larger than I expected but worked perfectly. It was a super fun addition to our New Year’s Eve celebration. I will order them again. Maybe for summer or birthdays. Everyone enjoyed decorating them with our wishes for 2021 and then watching them soar up and out of sight.

We do lanterns every year and this are very large. They don't fill up and lift--out of 40 we only had one that worked. I wouldn't advise these as a purchase. I am trying to get a refund on these.

Absolutely gorgeous did exactly what it was supposed to. However I would think these are a terrible fire hazard. I only tried one and I loved it. It was beautiful. But on the way up it almost hit one of the trees in my neighborhood. These lanterns stand about 4 ft tall and once you light it and watch it take off, you have to pray it doesn't hit somebody's house. I would only recommend these in a large non residental area.

Bought these to light off camping one night for a dear friend who passed away. They worked perfectly and was enough for every person to have their own to light off, we were even able to write messages on the outside too. If you are thinking about buying these I definitely would. Would buy again if needed. Lit up the sky and everyone’s hearts.

The Sky lanterns are much better. These take too long to heat up . Not sure if they’re just heavier than SKY LANTERNS. Also - Assembling them is a dumb idea. They should come assembled.No ... I would never buy them again. They’re also too expensive.Please note that they were not easy to use, easy to assemble or good value. They take FOREVER to get off the ground. Try SKY LANTERNS!!

We were hosting a celebration of life for my cousin and I wanted to get something that would make the occasion more special. I purchase these particular Chinese lanterns because of the reviews, but unfortunately a good amount of them had small holes that wouldn't allow them to fill up with hot air and float above us. Overall I wasn't happy spending money on a product that was the greatest and I just feel it was money wasted.
