My grand daughter came home from school once in 1st grade with head lice. We started using this to spray her hair lightly every morning after fixing her hair during the school year. She is in 4th grade now and still has never had head lice again, even with outbreaks at her school. Also, a little goes a long way. She's used one bottle per school year. Only down side is her hair always smells like mint the first half of her day. Luckily she loves mint gum so she didn't mind the smell at all.
