Does this work over a conventional full size indoor gas stove in the kitchen? Or does it have to be one of the small propane ones?

I use it on my gas range in the kitchen. It has notches to fit over the burner that keep it in place.

Anyone get food stuck on it? Is it good to rub oil or butter on the screen?

Usually this type of grill gets meat stuck on it in the beginning due to no oil and hot wires. You should rub fat (not butter or spray oils) on the hot grill b4 you put the actual meat. Usually if your cooking steak you get some chunks of fat around the meat, you use that. I geuss butter should be okay too but i think butter will burn on grill. Hope it helps.

Does fat grease get in the stove burner?

No. There is a perforated plate that covers the burner section. The perforations are angled in such a way as to cause grease to run around the holes.

Can you use aluminum foil on the bottom to catch the drips?

Not really. There is a ring that fills with water and the center portion has a plate with holes that allows for airflow for the flame.
