Tiny but effective
I bought a like-new one to save a bit of money and am so happy I did. The box arrived looking like someone had kicked a field goal with it, but despite the rough travels this little dehumidifier has been through, it still performs perfectly. Our bathroom is secluded from the rest of the house, so even though we have a whole-house dehumidifier, we needed a backup one for this area. It is responsible for removing moisture from a 2000 cubic foot area and does so efficiently and quietly. After roughly 5 showers or baths, the tank reaches capacity and needs to be emptied. This is no big deal and takes maybe 15 seconds to complete. I absolutely love this thing. We have noticed the bathroom smelling fresher and that sticky feeling no longer hovers in the air after showers.

Good design, correctable flaws
First off this device is *very well designed*, is quiet, and it really works. It only draws 22 watts, so as you can imagine it's not going to dry out your whole house but left on for a while in a small room it really takes a lot of water out of the air. Peltier devices like this work by moving heat from the cool side to the warm side, but the cool side can only be a certain amount lower temperature than the hot side. So if the hot side is 70 the cool side might be 40. But if the hot side is 80 the cool side will only be 50. So it's critical to keep the hot side from getting too hot, which this device does: - The hot side heatsink is significantly larger so that it can get rid of the heat faster - The air travels from the cool heatsink through a sealed channel past the hot side, so the 'waste' cool air helps cool the hot side, making the device more efficient - The condensed water drops through a narrow hole into an otherwise sealed chamber, so it doesn't evaporate back out again as fast - The air flows down through the cold heatsink and up through the hot side, working with convection instead of against it. BUT there was one problem... mine started making a loud rattling noise after using it a few times. I took it apart, and it looks like the cause is an H shaped widget coming out the back and sitting flush with the fan. It looks like the slightest bad tolerance in the construction causes this H plastic piece to grind against the fan, making the loud rattle and causing the fan to wear out sooner. I believe this piece is there to help guide the air, or maybe to help in shipping... given the rest of the design it probably has some useful purpose. Anyway I took it apart and with some pliers simply broke off this 'H' piece and now it is back to almost completely silent operation (no grinding) and it still works just as well as far as I can tell. This was moderately difficult as there are four screws in deep holes in the back, two screws on the bottom, and four more screws inside holding the main housing in place. Also, each part is attached to the other by wires making it moderately difficult to get to this 'H' piece. I can't vouch for this other than to say it worked for me, but if yours is loud and you are handy with a screwdriver you might consider trying it.

Very good, could be better, but overall a respectable product worth buying.
Surprisingly quiet, but they could have made it a lot quieter. It is on par with most PCs and Laptops, but nothing like Fractal or Noctua computer fan quiet. It uses 0 watts when it isn't on, and at most 25 watts when it is running (steadily fluxuates between 24-25 watts) So it will consume as much power as 3 average LED light bulbs, or <1/2 as much power as a 60 watt incandescent bulb. I question its ability to work in an 1,000 square foot area, but it did a reasonably nice job in a 150 square foot basement bedroom running 24 hours a day. It needed to be emptied once every 3 days. It won't work as effectively as a large 50 pint dehumidifier in the same space, but it won't be as loud, and it won't heat up the room. A large dehumidifier in a 150 sq/ft bedroom will heat the room up by about 10*F without an open window and the door closed. With this smaller dehumidifier, that isn't the case, and it is enough to combat a recurring source of moisture in the atmosphere. In my case, it was a occupant who always had towels drying in his room, that made the room feel like a shower, and the mini fridge was also leaking without me knowing. So I fixed the fridge and got a drip pan for it, and used the dehumidifier to combat anything evaporating into the atmosphere. All in all it worked nicely, and I'd be happy to one of these for any room under 200 sq/ft. It might work for "up to" 1,000 sq/ft in a sealed environment without foot traffic or recurring problems. But not for a space frequently accessed. If I stored a car in a shed in florida and didn't drive it for the entire warm season, I'd be happy to let this thing chug along and keep the car and shed fresh. The biggest con with it is that it doesn't have an option to connect a hose, which is ok. It isn't difficult to modify one into it. And they could have done a better job with the quality of the fan.

Great small room dehumidifier
I purchased my unit in 2015 and it has pretty much been running non-stop for 10 years since I bought it. I live in Florida where humidity can get upwards of 60% inside, and keep it in a small back bedroom. I run it be extra precautious on humidity levels in bedrooms that are the furthest from where the HVAC unit is. This unit works great to pull humidity out of the room, filling up on average every 10 days to 2 weeks. It's not meant as a replacement for the big units that have compressors, this is just for smaller rooms and works as I expect it to to pull out what it can from the room. It seems to only really have a 1-3% effect on pulling down room humidity levels. I checked on it recently and found that all the LED lights were off on it, and the water tank was barely half full. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that it appeared unpowered. Long story short after some diagnosis I discovered the wall plug transformer went bad. It was pulsing 9v vs a steady 9v power supply, and opening up the transformer I discovered the electrolyte capacitors were bulged out meaning it had gone bad (see attached picture). There are replacement power supplies you can buy for it, but I opted for a variable volt one that lets you add your own power supply wire, and cut the cord from the original transformer, wired it up, and got it running just fine again. Very pleased with the unit and likely will buy another for another room.

While this sounds great my other dehumidifier pulled that same amount in 4 ...
I had high hopes with this product after reading the positive reviews. However after 3 days I am returning the unit. In those 3 days, I had it running 24 hours a day in my small RV bathroom. In that time I got just over 3/4 cup of water. I ran a larger dehumidifier in the bathroom for 4 hours and got 2 cups of water. I also want to point out that we took multiple showers during the 3 days of the small humidifier but none during the 4 hours of the other dehumidifier. When you run the numbers over a week's time this unit should pull around 1 3/4 to 2 cups over 7 days. While this sounds great my other dehumidifier pulled that same amount in 4 hours. Obviously I have a lot of water in this room (as I keep a very close eye on my humidity) and obviously my other dehumidifier is much bigger, louder and stronger. However what I care about is a product that works. I need a product that keeps the walls dry and this failed miserably (even in a very tiny room 5 x 6 1/2 x 8). This unit is good for someone who does not have a humidity problem and wants a quiet (yes its very quiet) product that will make the air just a tiny bit dryer. This is not a product for someone that needs a dehumidifier to keep the walls from getting moisture damage. I gave this unit 1 star because I used it for exactly what they described it should be used for and it just does not have enough power to do what the job they describes it will. I don't even know how this unit could have done some of the things other people have claimed considering my room is as small as it gets and is obviously very wet as evidenced by the 2 cups I pulled in 4 hours. I hate to say it but this might be one of those items with false reviews paid for by the company to boost sales. The picture shows water pulled from this dehumidifier in 3 days on the right (3/4 cup). The 2 cups on the left came from my other dehumidifier in just 4 hours.

Repair-Unfriendly dehumidifier
I purchased this is in early 2023, Model EDV-1100 for $40. During the product research phase, I noticed Amazon and HomeDepot had a very similar looking Pro Breeze brand dehumidifier. I couldn't tell who was the knockoff, but went for Eva-Dry due to the familiar name. Pretty much same photo, same product, different name. Probably coming out of the same factory in China. It works great when it works. I have a small bathroom with no exhaust fan. I'm in Florida where it's always high humidity and had a lot of pink mold growing on the shower floor tiles. This helped a lot. The powerplug is an unusual rectangle. It is not compatible with figure 8 style NEMA C7 power receptacles/plugs and vice versa with the dehumidifier. The power adapter has the part# GQ24-09025-AU. The power adapter died after 2 years and replaced at the cost of $15, which is pretty expensive compared to the cost of the entire dehumidifier. Very few alternatives to this proprietary connector. Around the 1 to 2 year mark, the fan part# PY-8025H12S started making loud noises and not push air. Hitting or shaking the unit would sometimes quiet it. The fans use a 51021-0200 Molex connector (industry standard), and I noticed that the polarity (red and black wire locations) was swapped compared to other fans scavenged from electronics. A thin sharp object can be used to press down on the locking tabs of each pin and swap them. Points deducted for using nonstandard parts.

I love this thing!
This little machine works wonderfully in our bathroom. Easy to empty the canister. I am planning on getting a second one for my bedroom as well.

Funciona como lo prometiรณ

Works very well!
I have had this little unit in my main washroom to alleviate moisture. It works great, it is quiet and it has greatly improved the environment.

Quiet and Efficient
It supports 220v input, so you can plug it right into indian sockets. Very quiet, i can hardly hear it in the same room. Using it in a <100sqft bathroom. When ambient humidity is high >80%, it fills up the container in 2 days.

Really good product.
Considering this was imported and I paid only for what I ordered, this was a good buy. It is doing its job really well. I already had a voltage converter plug, so didn't have to buy a new one. But if anyone is going to buy this, be sure you buy the voltage converter too. Wait till the product arrives to confirm the plug pin it has. The customer care gets in touch with you to confirm these things which is an amazing thing to do.

If I felt like I got what I thought I was getting.
It seems that this works great as it is actively collecting water so we are happy. Small, quiet and practical to put in a cupboard even. Thank you!
