Stagecraft Fundamentals Second Edition: A Guide and Reference for Theatrical Production

A decent intro to people who are not thespians. Some areas are covered well and give you a taste of what that part of theatre involves. But stage management only gets a paragraph. and nothing about acting or directing.Or play writhing. Really a book covering the rest of the process. If the play itself had been covered I would have liked it more. I got this for someone was new to theatre and wanted to know more, and it will work for that with the above caveats.A chapter overlooking a production from play selection to opening night would be heaven sent.

This was purchased for my daughter. It was on the textbook list for her technical theater class. She said she would probably keep this book, even though the class is finished. I am going to assume that it was a great resource for her.

I needed it a college class, I like the pictures and how detailed it is. But it's pretty kinda heavy (as most textbooks are)

This is a great survey book of nearly everything I could think of related to theatre. The pictures are modern and relevant, the organization is very easy to follow, and the content is wide-ranging and thorough.

I can't say enough about this book. Relatively new to technical theater, this book has been an invaluable tool for me. It covers a lot of information that is presented in such a way that it feels like I'm in my favorite class with a favorite teacher.

My daughter needed this for a college class and it was exactly what she needed. A great book!

It is the prettiest textbook I've had. She writes in a very simple way so you could understand.
