CAP Barbell 60-Inch Solid Standard Bar, Multiple Colors

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I used to have a gym membership at a large commercial chain gym. I cancelled when they tried to continue charging me through the pandemic. Early on I made the decision that I would train at home and avoid gyms. I ordered this bar on the 17th of March, it arrived on the 21st, and it's been a vital part of keeping me sane. Since then I've built up my equipment supply (Rogue Ohio Power Bar, rack, bench, bumper plates, heavy resistance band), but this bar has a special place in my heart. I named her Arya, because she's been my little warrior. Even using all of the standard weights I owned (the largest being tens) I was only able to get up to 155lbs, but I had to keep moving and this little barbell allowed me to do just that, even without a rack. Front squats, Back Squats, Zercher squats, Overhead Presses, Floor Presses, Rows, Landmine presses and rows (use a corner with a towel), curls, front raises, I did them all with this bar. It's a cheap bar. You can definitely buy a better bar, and if you lift seriously and long enough you'll outgrow this bar very quickly. This five star review is mostly rooted in sentiment. This is me expressing my gratitude for a sturdy, inexpensive piece of equipment which allowed me to train during less than peaceful times. My mind has been wrecked by the goings-on in the world, but this bar, she helped me through some of the toughest days.

I got the 60" bar which claims to have a 200 pound capacity, but it just held up 350 with no problems. I'm not sure if it bent, or how much while I was lifting, my focus was elsewhere at the moment.I'm sure the safety conscience out there are screaming the their screens about me overloading the bar, but I'm sure I can get 400lbs on this thing before I would begin to worry.For the price you can't go wrong.UPDATED: 400lbs with no problem, but I don't think I'm going to take it higher than that.

Well made 60 inch bar with good chrome finish. I have looked at it closely and didn't find any defects. I know that it's just a bar for weights but seems to be good quality at a resonable price. It comes with a round rubber washer on each end where the weights hit to absorb the sound. This bar was sold as a CAP Barbell bar and when it arrived it came in a plastic slip labeled CAP Barbell and the bar itself has a silvery brand sticker with CAP Barbell on the sticker. Under the brand, the sticker says, "Made in China". It's a tiny sticker and is not at all noticible unless you look for it because the sticker matches the bar. I'm sure that I could remove the sticker but I probably won't. I weighed the bar on an accurate digital scale and it is 13.6 lbs or 6.17 kg. As for the other measurements, the end sections that hold the weights is 11 3/4 inches on each side. The center grip area length is 35 1/2 inches. The center section has a cross-hatch area on each side for better grip which are 12 inches which leaves a smooth section in the middle of the bar about 11 inches wide.

Works great for my Les Mills Body Pump workouts. Very pleased with this purchase. I also bought 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 lbs plates and the clips for fast changes between sets. I use Les Mills ondemand and these work just as good as the expensive Les Mills bar and weight sets.

I pick up the bar and put it back down again. I don't have a lot of space so a compact bar was of the utmost importance for me. Item arrived without any defects and works exactly as described. Roughly 11.5" on each end for weights and there's 36" between for grip. The knurling is good. I prefer the smooth ends over the spinlock ends because the smooth end bar has more metal on the ends, which means it can hold more weight. I use regular cheapo spring clips and they work fine. Good price. I'm happy.

I've been slowly adding to my home gym and the next thing on my list was getting a barbell. I don't lift super heavy (yet) but I'm hoping to build up to it soon. As a fairly petite woman I was a little concerned about the length of this barbell as it is on;y a few inches shorter than I am but it has worked just great! I was originally looking to purchase a barbell set with weights included, but I noticed the quality on all the barbells was greatly lacking so I decided to purchase separately. I am very please with this barbell, it feels pretty solid and it will work great for my home workouts. I'm glad I read the reviews because I saw people mention to shake out the box to make sure the rubber rings don't get thrown away, sure enough they were just sitting on the bottom of the box. Like others mentioned the package arrived in a bit of disarray with both ends open, I'm not really sure how the bar didn't fall out in the journey. But luckily the barbell itself arrived undamaged. I was very pleased to find out that weights from my 1" dumbells I already own fit this barbell (like I said, not using a ton of weight on these yet). I did make sure to also purchase the 1" CAP Clips as others mentioned as well.

perfect for the beginner! 5' bar is a great length and the price was unbeatable!! the weight of the bar was not listed in the description but I weighed it myself and it is 13.5 lbs.

I got an empty box. (Recorded myself opening it for proof.) Looking at other reviewers, it seems fairly common.Amazon was great and sent a replacement right away, unlike Woodpecker Woodworking which doesn't deliver a package at all and refuses a refund/replacement. Now I shoot openbox vids for everything.But the bar- it's solid. Chrome plated. Looks like I paid far more than I did. It's a great deal.Didn't realize the bar wasn't threaded, so I saved a few bucks and bought a couple of 1" locking collars for $1.50 for two. Great deal!

This 5 ft bar is just the right size for your In Home weight bench, Remember its NOT the same size as the ones in the Gym nor do you probably have the room in YOUR Home for a 7 ft bar! Mine is straight and for my personal use its good! Shipping was super fast, 2 days earlier that first notice to me.

Solid looking bar; arrived with a hole in the box and with a rubber bumper ring on only one side of the bar, a few knicks in the metal but overall ok
