As a school-based counselor, I've returned to this resource time and time again. It's proven to be orderly, accessible, and effective in my work to empower rural AI/AN youth living and dealing the effects of intergenerational and complex trauma in the school setting.

This book is full of the typical, useful DBT worksheets. The extra part is that there are lesson plans clearly written for those not use to running DBT groups. Really well put together and thought out book!

James and Liz Mazza have done a fabulous job bringing needed DBT skills to adolescents in schools. The kids won’t believe the almost immediate measurable results that they will find with practice. Their peers will hold them accountable for their homework too. The book is set up to help teachers every step of the way! I wish this class had been around when I was attempting to navigate through the junior high and high school years!

Excellent curriculum that can be used in the classroom with all students, in small groups, or individually with students meeting with their school counselors. There are numerous activity pages that work through important concepts related to learning to develop distress tolerance and use our emotions wisely and mindfully. A tool for "typical" students self-awareness and dysregulated students toolbox for self-regulation.

I work in a therapeutic school where 100% of my student have ACEs. This book is very helpful for keeping myself centered on DBT and DBT woven into my classrom

I was hoping for more stuff I could use with younger kids, but otherwise it is great!
