Here's the way it works- The rapid application tourniquet system is a cost efficient and effective tourniquet, especially in a buddy aid situation. When combined with the QuikClot and gauze that can be packed into a penetrating injury, the rapid application tourniquet, compression bandage, and duct tape provides the ability to hold dressings and even improvised chest seals.
