National Geographic Ultimate Visual History of the World: The Story of Humankind From Prehistory to Modern Times

I bought this book for my nephew who loves flags and learning about other countries, as well as history. This book didn't disappoint! As soon as he opened his present and saw this book, he was thrilled! He instantly opened it up and began reading. The pictures are stunning. I wanted to buy a reputable brand and high quality. It's a great price for a beautifully made book. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves history and learning.

This is an excellent and interesting book I sent it to my grandson at his father’s request and he said it’s great and everyone asks where I got it.

I've never recommended a book to everyone, every family, but I do for this marvelous, exciting book. This large and hefty tome devotes its space to a sweeping history of the world, in language basic enough for kids in elementary school to understand, but interesting enough to hold the attention of all ages. Its many vivid graphics ( the pages are about 70% illustrations) helped me to to get a "you are there" feeling, as if I was living in ancient Greece or dozens of other places and eras. It provides diversion as well as education--of course, not covering any country or civilization with any depth. It's a historical smorgasbord, which creates a yearning for a second bite of a myriad of specific topics. The price is very reasonable., and it's great fun to browze through. The book's condition was excellent. It was not damaged in shipment, as some reviewers had cautioned about.

What a fabulous book. The pictures and stories really bring history to life. Perfect way for a ADD sufferer to learn history.

Pictures and artist's renderings bring alive the topic. Narration is generally authoritative but reflects the author's point of view and invites independent scholarship.

I really liked this book. If you like world history, I highly recommend it. It’s a hardcover book and it’s very well made. It arrived in perfect condition. At first it looked a little old when I saw it, but it actually had a dust cover protecting the book, and the book itself is in perfect condition. It’s amazing, I totally recommend it if you like National Geographic and if you enjoy world history. There are also more books you can buy from the same publisher.

La calidad del papel y las fotografías es excelente; el único detalle corresponde a Amazon: deben tener más cuidado como almacenan y transportan este tipo de productos. Llegó con las esquinas un poco maltratadas.

Een prachtig boek, maar Amazon is helaas niet in staat dit boek op goede wijze te verzenden. Het is een zwaar boek, maar Amazon verstuurd het boek in een simpele, kartonnen verpakking waardoor het boek beschadigd aankomt. Dit is tot tweemaal toe gebeurd en niet alleen bij mij, zo blijkt. Doodzonde. Onvoorstelbaar dat Amazon, nota bene ooit begonnen als online boekhandel, met al z'n technologie dit simpelweg niet anders wil doen.

Il pacco è arrivato ben imballato, tuttavia il libro in esso contenuto era scollato con rilegatura rotta, inoltre una delle pagine inziali era stata incollata con quella sucessiva. Non acquisterò piu da questo venitore e non lo conisglio a nessuno.
