Direct replacement, noticable acceleration improvement
2002 F150 4.2 V6 was misfiring when wet outside. The bottom of my stock 24 year old ignition coil was cracked allowing voltage to escape causing misfiring. This new coil seems very sturdy, it was even a little heavier than the stock coil. Took about 15 minutes to install using a 7mm socket and some dialectric grease. Engine fired right up, no misfiring, acceleration improvement was noticeable right away. I'm looking forward to seeing how my gas mileage improves, and to see how long this lasts. At a third of the price from the auto parts store hopefully it will last a few years.

Smart move
How much difference it makes when you replace older parts. This coil made the power increase and the durability is the best I've seen and it fit perfectly. It makes sense to replace a coil that been there for many years. I hope some people realize that it might run okay until you put it to work. I found out that it worth upgrading to new parts especially for a vehicle with alot of miles and the age. Now old truck engine is much smoother than before. This is why its good to replace older parts. The coil we purchase is a good quality material and for the price. I didn't have to pay alot for the coil, now if I would have gone to the parts house, I would have got rob.

Truck Running Again!
My 2001 F150 would not start, and we identified it as a spark issue. I don't know if this sensor or the coil pack fixed it (we replaced both, along with the plugs and wires) but it fired right up and is running fine.
