Church Band - Great product - Nice price
Own 2 of these stands. To date, I have used this product for 3 band practices and 3 performances at various locations. Is holding up very well so far to all the transportation. History- I am in charge of making all "tech/equipment" purchases for our new church. We already had some regular stands and needed some boom stands to allow the guitarist and bassist to sing into the mics. Besides a quality product, I believe it's ultimately up to you to care for your product to make sure it doesn't malfunction early. Pros- Base is solid, has not tipped over yet. No sliding or bending on any joints or parts, very sturdy. Great paint finish. I removed the "On Stage" sticker label to make the stage look more professional with no ads for anything (other than the brand labels on the amps and instruments. Sticker came of mostly clean. If you do this, make sure you remove at a steep angle and apply even pressure throughout the process. Cons- Product page does not mention whether it comes with a microphone clip or not. Not a problem for people who are replacing equipment but if this is your first or a new addition stand, it will inconvenience you to find the product arrived at your house with no mic clip (buy a mic clip simultaneously with this purchase. Currently a no frills standard "mic clip" runs you more or less $4 on Amazon.) Note- I have also lately used these stands to hold lights up so I can have good lighting while I work on my hobby-type projects.

Destined for duct tape, but affordable.
Ok, so if you're a gigging musician or a studio engineer, you know that one of the most frustrating things in the world is the fact that no one seems to be able to make a halfway decent mic stand for under 100 dollars. It just doesn't happen. Unless you're willing to spring for one of those awesome, heavy Atlas stands, this On-Stage stand is the best you're going to get. So I gave it five stars not because it's a freakishly good stand, but just because, with care, it tends to fall apart less quickly than other stands I've used. As with all stands, you have to handle with care. I know you have visions of yourself "Dude Looks like a Lady"-ing around an arena stage waving this thing above your head, but just... don't. The locking components are, for the most part, plastic, and while it is solid enough to hold a condenser mic and shockmount, you will want to make sure you are firmly securing the stand with sandbags in the studio for any overhead applications. On stage, these work fine as long as you are intentional with the setup and teardown- if you've ever met almost anyone who does this for a living at a club or dive bar, I'd suggest personally taking charge and caring for your gear yourself. Someday alien archeologists will find, buried beneath the rubble of O'Jaegger's Pub and Music Hallway a graveyard of broken microphone stands and think to themselves "by (insert alien deity) these human 'sound men' were a barbaric race!" If you take care of this decent stand carefully, it may avoid being among the interred.

Great Value / Works with Blue Yeti / Use Sitting or Standing
I tried an inexpensive scissor stand that mounted to my desk. The angles of my setup and the desk construction just didn't allow the flexibility or isolation of the microphone I was looking for. I'm a fairly fast typist and no matter what I tried I couldn't isolate the vibration from the microphone attached to the desk surface. I returned that item and ordered this based on a recommendation from a YouTube video. I couldn't be more pleased with the construction and quality of the product. I was only $9 more than the inexpensive scissor / desk mount stand and it's about $70 less than the Blue Yeti Compass which is also desk mounted. I was honestly surprised at the quality in relation to the price. VERY HAPPY with this so far. It also includes a couple of clips for cord management which is becoming a new hobby as I work from home and expand my home office video and audio capabilities.

Mic Stand
I need this mic stand to record my rap vocals and hold up my mic of course. This stand gets 4 starts not 5 because to me the ONLY way you are getting a 5 star stand is if you are putting down major cash like $60 or more which is really not needed for basic vocals unless you want to have a rich bill gates studio. At first I was confused on how to get this mic stand working but I figured it out after a minute messing with it. I am about 5"9 and when I put the mic stand up as high as it can go its a few inches over my head so its probably around 6 feet total. This mic stand will work perfect for regular use of the mic meaning if you just plan on putting the mic on it it will do fine. If you want to hang your mic upside down that is kind of a problem. Being that the mic is only around 6 foot tall and thats pushing it, its hard to hang the mic upside down and get it high enough to meet your vocals. When you turn the mic upside down it hangs lower so in fact the mic stand would have to be even taller for you to reach it, if you are a tall person especially over 5"9 you will not be able to speak into the mic directly hanging it upside down because it will be to low. If you are shorter than 5"9 then you can probably get away with it. I use the MXL 4000 which is a VERY HEAVY condenser microphone. I put it on a shock mount and have the pop filter on the stand which weighs it down a good bit being the mic alone is very heavy. When placing the stand strait in the air there is no problem the mic stays put. If you have the boom stand bended like in the picture and have a super heavy mic like mine then over time the boom might lower BARELY, but don't worry you have to tightin it very very hard if you don't want that to happen. I could tighten it more but I don't want to wear out the screws. Overall this mic stand will do whats needed it will hold up your mic as long as you tighten it very hard, it won't fall over if it does then your not balancing it right or must have a boulder on the end of the mic. The only problem with mine is my shock mount lowers down slightly but that is not the stands fault its the mics fault for being so damn heavy. When you use this mic strait up its works 100% flawless. If this is in your budget then get it if not then go bill gates and spend more money on a better stand but if this is all the money you have you probably can't beat it the quality is also good and doesn't feel like it will break easy.

Surprisingly sturdy mic stand for the price.
Surprisingly sturdy mic stand for the price. Purchased for Sunday praise band use. Looks nice, feels like it will last a long time based on our usage. Comes with a 5/8” thread for mic holder. Comes in two pieces and folds up to fit in about a 4”x4”x46” box. So far, happy with the purchase.

Rock on; One of the best on Amazon!
For the price, you can not beat this Mic Stand. I actually bought it for two reasons; #1, I play electric guitar and needed to upgrade a stand I got 7 years ago from my grandmother. The second reason is because I play guitar hero and like to sing and play at the same time. My old stand was plastic, hard to adjust, and just a piece of junk. This stand is metal, very easy to adjust, and just top-notch in every way. I have never owned a more expensive Mic Stand so I do not know what other qualities that one might look for. I just know that THIS stand is everything I could have asked for and for the price, it really looks and feels like a professional piece of machinery. AND THE PRICE?? This stand would is the equivalent of going to McDonalds and ordering a Big Mac, but instead, you're given a 12 oz. steak with a little A1 steak sauce on the side and a side of mashed potatoes. You really can't beat it. The only thing is- it does not come with a "MIC CLAMP" - something you need to attach your actual microphone to your stand. You'll need to buy one of those suckers before you can really use this. I did not buy that right away though and some of my girlfriend's hair ties did the trick without any issues. Being creative is sometimes more fun anyways. But maybe, if I was more creative, instead of using a Mic Stand in the first place, I could have strung my microphone from the light fixtures. I think that the company coming to visit likes the idea of having a mic stand much more. Happy Shopping. This product is approved by me.

Pleasantly surprised
I've been buying and returning stands stated as being heavy duty, but were cheap junk. This On-Stage lives up to the hype. Heavy duty, good adjustments, and well made. I have a small sound company and will buy 5 more of these with no qualms.

Good for lighter microphones.
Pretty good microphone stand made of metal and plastic. Comes with little clips for cords. Has adjustment for height and the main arm itself can be moved in multiple directions. My only problem with this stand is that it could not support the weight of my blue yeti microphone but any mid size or small microphone would probably work perfect for it.

Great for boom mic
Got this to have a boom mic arrangement, using my Rode Videomic Pro. It's lightweight, fairly well built, and works well for the purpose, without tipping, and handles the weight of the mic well.

Great stand.
For $30, you get a great piece of equipment. I have no previous stands to compare to this one to, so my expectations were not high. Regardless of that, I can confidently say this stand is well made and quite sturdy. I'm using it to hold my Blue Yeti microphone so that I can record commentaries while gaming at the same time. The pop filter I bought separately from this purchase clamps on without any problems. Two cable clips are included, and they work nicely. They're made out of plastic, so don't force them open with too much pressure otherwise I'm sure they'd break. The stand stays on the desired angle, but I don't like how easily it sways on on the x-axis (left to right). It sits on my carpet and the tripod legs don't slip out of position easily, which is a positive. If you want a stand solely for the purpose of hands-free, static recording, then this is a great buy. It does its job well. The only downside is that you have to pay shipping at the cost of the stand itself. Other than that, there's really nothing to complain about. Recommended.
