Great product, worth considering as you shop for similar
The Lap Pro is a really great product. I own another similar product and it is also good, but one key reason I use the Lap Pro the most is because I can comfortably prop it on my stomach or chest when reading in bed. The soft padding provided by the bean bag makes it ideal for reading in bed. It also works well as a lap pillow, but I primarily use it for reading in bed. I have a more recent version of the product so it's much more firm than the early versions and you may not be able to angle it as easily as the previous version. I can place it in the handle easily enough and it stays put, there just isn't much give if you prefer to lay it at more of an angle. I've experimented by rolling the bean bag slightly and had some success with it, however it's not as balanced as when the handle is used to stabilize it on the bed or your lap. This isn't really a negative for me, but since it's advertised as 0-89 degree angle, I felt it worth mentioning your personal experiences angling it may not be as easy as you think from reading the product description. Overall, it's a well built and high quality product. Support is very good and if you have a problem, they'll bend over backwards to make it right for you.

Clever design. Simple. Comfortable. Efficient.
***Look for update at the end** Oh yeah....this is a good one. I like to read. A lot. I have this Angry Bird pillow I prop my Kindle HDX up on as I read. Well, with the magnetic cover on the tablet, it was always snapping shut and falling off! Or just shifting and slipping constantly. I needed a good tablet caddy. After a thorough search, I purchased this Lap Pro. It's perfect. Not only does it have a secure slot to hold the tablet but also has a zippered, two sided compartment on the inside. The tablet fits in there along with a charger and cable. If your going on a long ride, pack it, grab it by the convenient handle and your off on your trip. It also makes a great neck pillow in a car. I've seen some negative reviews on this thing and I just cant imagine why!? This is a really great item. No clunky plastic struts or complicated parts. As a matter of fact, it's simple, comfortable (and very adequate function) is why I like it so much. Very comfortable. Very clever design. ***UPDATE Oct.1*** Not trying to be a know-it-all or anything, but I read where someone said that their tablet sits too low in the groove of the pillow? Well, I found that the groove on the other side is more shallow. For fully reclined position, this side works better for laying down. The deeper groove in the front is best for sitting up, or on a table or your lap....jus' sayin. I hope this helps somebody.

Really cool, versatile iPad lap cushion
At first I avoided using this lap-thing because it had a strong chemical odor to it. I considered returning it, but I like that it's taller and more maneuverable than the other cushioned iPad lap stand I've got. After letting it air out for a week outside, there is no discernable odor anymore (and I'm quite sensitive). I've come to love this stand and now use it daily. As mentioned in other reviews, it's true that the bottom of the iPad gets covered by the 'handle' of the cushion, when it's set up as shown in the photo -- but you can also lay it across the top of the cushion and hold it on your lap that way very easily, so the whole screen is visible and easily worked with. I'm impressed that it manages to feel pretty sturdy, and I've not had a problem with my iPad slipping off (but I do have an attached screen cover on my iPad, which further stabilizes the whole set up a little bit). Also, it works well resting on my torso when I'm reclined in bed. Or if I'm sitting cross-legged on the bed, the screen is a good height right in front of me resting on top of the stand like it's a pillow. In any orientation, it's much better for my needs than the geometric foam cushion stand also found on Amazon (whose aesthetics I prefer, honestly, but this one is the one everyone reaches for day-in, day-out). Anyway, when shopping around for a stand, I thought I'd probably hate this one because it looks pretty bulky like an unwieldy beanbag, and I wanted something streamlined. But it's not awkward to use and it's really light, with super tiny beads of what feels like styrofoam making up its bulk (there's a zipper, but I haven't unzipped to check). It isn't a loose beanbag -- it's more formed than I expected. I also didn't love the fabric at first (swimsuit-ish material), except that it notes on the tag that you can wipe your screen with it, in a pinch. Pretty handy. Lastly, it's not hot, either, and I don't feel the heat of the iPad through it at all. Actually, I'm using this stand right now with a MacBook Pro that runs pretty hot, and I feel no heat at all on my legs/lap. Both computers fit well, too. So, essentially, this stand works great for laptops as well as iPads. Docked one star for the initial odor issue, since I think they could have off-gassed the materials first, prior to manufacturing/sale, but smart design and versatility earn this iPad cushion full marks otherwise! Happy I gave it a shot. EDITED TO ADD (a year later): Renegade Concepts stands behind their products should there be issues, which is awesome, and they couldn't be more pleasant to interact with. We continue to love the LapPro and prefer it to all other stands in the house.

Very lightweight tablet holder.
This is a very lightweight pillow-like tablet holder. It is very different than what you think it is by picture. I thought it was like one big bean bag type thing that tablet sits in. The tablet sits in a pocket, sort of, with a padded bar in front of it to hold tablet in place. My fire hd10 with a case on it fits in this perfectly. But the whole thing needs something heavier on the bottom possibly to make it feel more stable. Maybe some bean bag type matterials, just in the bottom, would anchor the lightweight tablet stand? I think I will keep it. Just need to get used to it. It has two pockets on bottom so you can store stuff in there like screen wipes, etc. Individual pockets don't close up even though they are separate from each other, otherwise some beans would be a good thing to put in there to anchor it. Even though each pocket Is separate they are not separate from each other with a zipper. Just one zipper. Very flimsy material holds tablet in place between pillow and bar. I worry that that material will eventually come loose or tear. Just need to get used to it. Not very many tablet stands that hold a fire hd10 with a case on it. Once tablet is in place and i gently shake it, back and forth or side to side, it seems to stay in place. So that's good. Only time will tell if this was worth the money or not.

Perfect for watching TV on the iPad or reading
I love to watch TV on my iPad before I go to sleep and have had trouble with every other stand I've tried. This one is perfect. It's basically just a tube shaped pillow with a little ledge that you set the iPad on. You don't have to take the case off your iPad for it to fit - there is plenty of room for the case also. The pillow is filled with a kind of filling that molds perfectly to the iPad to hold it in place. With other stands I've used if I even breathe a little too hard it will fall over, but this is so sturdy that I can set it on me while I'm laying down and it will stay completely still all by itself. If you do want to rest your hands on it, it's nice and comfortable because the pillow is soft. I also tried this with my Kindle and with a regular book and they both fit really nicely in the stand too. There is a zippered compartment near the ledge with two pockets in it that would be nice to put your glasses in if you want to. The fabric is really nice and soft and feels kind of like nylon. I like it because I have dogs and the hair doesn't stick to this fabric as much as it does on other fabrics. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect! (Updated...)
Update 12/14/2019 I still like this lap stand when reading or watching a movie but have a complaint when using it to use an app, like Crossword or WordSwipe. The "handle," which doubles as a stand for my tablet, is too thick and covers the bottom of the screen. I can't use the bottom row of letters unless I lift the tablet up a little. I haven't found a remedy yet. Good but still packing in some areas. (I bought the mini version of this pillow for my daughter to use with her phone and she loves it.) I reluctantly ordered this because I was finding it hard to get my tablet to stay where I wanted it to be. I'd tried stacking pillows, blankets, towels, etc., but the result was always failure. Plus, at 67, my inherited arthritis in my hands & fingers made holding even the almost weightless PaperWhite uncomfortable. When this arrived, I was surprised at how light it was, how easily my Lenovo table adjusted and using my Paperwhite was effortless. My Lenovo, Paperwhite, reading glasses & charging accessories fit easily inside the zipper pouch, ready for travel. The handle/tablet stand works so well, it still makes me smile. For me, this is perfect in every way.

Love this thing!
It's so convenient. I bought it for when we sit down on the couch, and it sits in the perfect position for that purpose. It's probably the best investment I've made lately. One of the best features is that you can pretty much do anything with it without worrying about it breaking. There's really nothing on it that can break, other than the zipper. You can throw it around, drop it, stuff it inside a suitcase, or whatever..and it goes right back to it's original shape. I love that part because we have 3 kids..and I need all the durability and versatility I can get from a product. So, it has been awesome for all the purposes I've needed it for. I think it's worth every penny. The iPad is pretty sturdy when it's placed in position. It's really comfy on your lap, and it's just the right size for any of the kids..or myself. Other than it being difficult to fit the iPad inside the zipper pouch (because of the rubber protector we have around the iPad), we haven't run into any drawbacks. If we do run into an issue, I'll be sure to update, but it has been awesome so far.

Perfect lap pillow for iPads and Kindles
Six years later and I still use this every day as an iPad pillow. My husband also bought the same one after seeing how nice mine was. Works great as a prop to hold your iPad or phone when you are mindlessly surfing the internet. I also use this to hold my Kindle during long reading sessions. It's much nicer and more comfortable than reading without. Bonus, I didn't even know for the longest time that it has a zipper pocket inside to store things which is great to use when traveling! My only compliant is that after a few years the stuffing had deflated a lot so I had to add new stuffing to keep it plump.

It’s jjjusssst ggrreeaat!
I bought this little pillow for my teenage granddaughter who is always in her room on her computer, iPhone, or artist tablet. She has found it a lot easier on her neck and she doesn’t get so tired so quickly. She has almost convinced me to get one for myself too.

Useful and seems to work. Super light weight!
So far so good after giving to my wife. She seems to like it and uses it constantly. However do I think the price is worth it after feeling how light it is... that’s pending. I’ll see it it holds up to regular use and let you know.
