trying to clean up the gray color on my fence boards will this do?

Yes this will do it with about 60 grit...but a power washer is much faster and covers a lot more area faster.

Can i use it for a masonry wall

Hi, Oscar! Good question. The SKIL 2.8 Amp 5 IN. Random Orbital Sander is ideal for sanding applications on wood, metal and plastic. Additionally, some applications such as plastics, glass, or stone, require silicon carbide discs, which have a very sharp cutting edge. For additional information, please visit page 13 in your owner's manual. Thank you for your inquiry!

Dust collector is almost impossible to put on. Is it supposed to be pushed all the way down?

Hi, Mikisho! Great question. The dust canister included with your SKIL SR211601 random orbital sander does need to be pushed onto the sander until it is locked in place. For additional information, we advise visiting page 12 in your owner's manual. Thank you for your inquiry!
