Lonely Planet Seoul

The Lonely Planet guide to Seoul is super helpful and full of useful tips, locations and recommendations.It is really helpful that this guide was updated for a post Covid Seoul as many places have opened/closed/changed hours etc.The pull out map is also great - but might be better if it was in a sturdier material as the paper wears very quickly.Would recommend.

Al igual que con la guía general de Korea Lonely Planet, dicen que está actualizada, pero luego vas allí y hay sitios que hace años que están cerrados, precios no coincide ni uno (pero ni por aproximación...). Recomendable para echarle un ojo, pero luego tienes que revisar toda la info en internet para no presentarte a un sitio y que ni exista.

Es una guía muy completa y actual con mucha y buena información para viajar a Seúl sin embargo sí lo que estás buscando es contenido visual, es decir fotos, carece mucho de ellas. Si lo hubiese sabido quizás no la hubiera comprado

I took this updated guide to Seoul this month and found it was a great reference for identifying places I wanted to visit. The maps are fantastic. I'd recommend this guide in tandem with one of the Korean apps for navigating the subway/transit system (such as kakao maps). The historical and cultural information was helpful too - it wasn't super detailed, but just right to provide a little background info (I learned more at individual sites) and still keep the book small enough to carry with me. As of May 2022, the Covid situation continues to change rapidly. People I encountered in public (on the subway or at points of interest) were generally very helpful and had up-to-date info about attractions or services that were still closed due to Covid.
