Student Manual for Corey's Theory and Practice of Counseling and Psychotherapy, 9th

This book is a great addition to the Theory and Practice of Counseling text book. It breaks down each theory into shortened sections that the text book has. It also has vocabulary words with definitions and case study examples of each theory. Very easy to read and great for a quick refresher on each of the theories. There is also a self assessment for each theory.

Used this for my advanced counseling techniques in addictions and group therapy practices. It's a supplement to the textbook. There is good information covered along with the worksheets/assignments in this. Does a great job covering the theories and applications as well as covering other important topics for counseling. One I will be holding on to.

The book was in excellent condition and very helpful for those who want to go into depth with the case study in the textbook and for developing ways to become a great counselor or interventionist. However, it was not the book that I needed for my class.

The book was very informativeand quite interesting for me. There were things asked on the tests from class that were easy to find. I've learned a lot about addiction as well as other things in counseling.

This book gives each theory the fair coverage it deserves with minimal preferance detected on the authors' parts. Never thought I'd learn anything new about psychodynamic/Freudian theory at this point, though Corey did a nice job proving me wrong and lead me to detest it a little less. My only critical observation aside from a few typos is that the subsections in each chapter could be organized a bit better. For example, important points in "applications" would be more appropriate in "view of human nature" --you can sub in any category in this example. At the ene of the day, you get the idea for each theory though it's a pain when taking notes.

This is a great workbook to the hardcover. The workbook works well along with the text. book. I also like the natural color of the pages as opposed to the starch white which usually causes a glare when reading.

Same book but wrong cover. MUCH less money for the exact same thing. Did come from India however which I didn't expect.
