My daughter is obsessed with trains, and she hears the horn of the train near our house way before I do. After countless times of her eyes widening and her yelling "Choo Choooo?!" and running to the window to look at the train, I knew that I had to get her a toy train set. She's still to young for one that you build the track for and that you can operate, so I looked into other options and found this. This set of wooden train cars is perfect. They attach magnetically to each other, and they aren't too big or too small, but just the right size. They come in a very nice box that makes them easy to put away and store if you are low on room in the house, or like to keep everything tidy and neat like I do. They are made of very good quality and they are a simple yet fun and clever toy that you will appreciate and your child will enjoy. I have no regrets at all with my purchase, and after looking into other products made by the company that makes this train set, I plan on buying more from them, as they make a quality product for a reasonable price, and it's not plastic junk. The only reason that I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is that the magnets that attach the train cars together could be stronger. Sometimes your child will cause a derailment if moving them at to high of a speed, or to hard of a turn. Luckily there have been no casualties reported among the passengers as of yet!

Melissa & Doug brand are well made toys. This train set is wooden, nicely detailed & decorated, and a good size set. When I purchased the set, the price was less than I'd find in local stores.

What a nice surprise!! Cute little wooden box to organize all the cars into. Nice to have a place for each one. All the cars are nicely painted and smooth, perfect for little hands!!! No assembly required, I think they'll last for years!
