A must for estheticians
This is a great book for estheticians whether they work with skin of color or not. With the blending of ethnicities, this book is very helpful. This is a must for every esthetician.

No better book on this subject!
I purchased this book after attending a class with the author at a conference in Fla. As an instructor teaching skin care, I found her information to be beyond my expectations on the subject of diverse dischromia. After the class, I knew I had to have the book. I'm using it now to supplement my regular curriculum. This is a subject we deal with daily in Arizona. The book should be required reading for estheticians providing treatments to today's clients with blended ethnic backgrounds!

Good & not so good info.
The areas where this book is not so good are really stupid. Sections on Indian treatments are just stuck in there with little or no explanation but the areas where this book is good at, they are really, really good. Mostly anatomy & physiology. Most books simply make a statement of what happens, while this book gets into the nitty gritty about HOW it happens.

Hate to find but a bit droll

bad idea, I was hoping to gain a perspective ...
I bought this book without looking inside...bad idea, I was hoping to gain a perspective from an experienced skin care therapist with a very good grasp on treating diverse pigmentation, and instead i found very basic information that doesn't give advice or recommended treatments for the actual conditions gleaned from this book's cover. What a great disappointment! Not recommended. You're better off buying a book like Milady's "Microdermabrasion" which is more objectives and provides realistic and practical guidance

Every Skin Practitioner Needs This...
This book is needed in ALL Beauty schools. I very much needed this years ago. Aliesh you cover so much and more totally inspired! 100% motived to treat all skin tones with confidence and most importantly understand my own pigmentation.
