I got this as a summer time workbook to boost my kid's creative writing. It is exactly as described and easy to follow instructions and clear print.

I highly recommend this booklet for kids or even some adults. Some of us, like me seemed to miss out or not remember learning some of this. They have fun easy to do drills. I am 56 years old and I ordered the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade one. I now have a little higher vocabulary and can understand that many more things. 😊👍🏻

I like this series of workbooks from Practice Makes Perfect. It's a good supplement for kids that are very good readers and good at learning implicitly--they don't require a lot of direct instruction. There's two fill-in the blank worksheets for each prefix and suffix. These books are familiarizing my daughter with a lot of vocabulary words. But, there isn't a lot of explanation at the top of each worksheet. If your students need more instruction and you need more ideas about how to teach prefixes and suffixes, I'd recommend Shell Education's book Starting with Prefixes and Suffixes instead. It's more expensive, but it gives teaching notes and explains a lot more about word roots.

The book covers all the basic prefixes and suffixes students in this grade would need. It also had a small definition of the meaning of the words in the top of each page.
