GlobalLink 520 for System Monitoring and Control

When I first received it I thought 💭 where’s the aerial but then found out it has an internal one, it came with version 2.03 firmware which doesn’t have Bluetooth option, it then updated to 2.06 which then you can add Bluetooth devices like solar mppt and inverters which I have. Install the VRM app, no one told me to do it but it’s easier if you do. Widgets !… add then to your screen then hard press on them to choose which install you have done… no one told me that either… The device works perfectly if you are in the signal area, you can change the sim internally as well. It works abroad as well , I’m in the UK but have just come back from Belgium 🇧🇪 and France 🇫🇷 and the sim does roaming. Overall it’s a lot easier to install then a Cerbo, I’ve stuck it on a wall in my garage area of my Motorhome placed the power cables on the 12v battery terminals and That’s it.

This unit dose not have an aerial however you can buy one for £10 sma The unit I have dose not need one as it has a built in one and I get signal you will need to make sure It gives my the info every 15mins via the VRM I have the unit link up to a smart stunt it has Bluetooth on in so you maynot need a ve cabel it has 2 ve ports

This works fantastically on my installation, even in a poor signal area. 5 years of data included makes it good value for money

Since October 2023 Telefonica have denied all third party access to its LTE-M networks. This renders this product useless for the UK market. Check out the official Victron Forums on this. Well documented. Only started looking after the GL520 wouldn’t connect to the network.

This product relies on O2 LTE-M coverage, which at present only covers 50% of the UK. Do not buy this device until you have checked your area for coverage. Check O2 LTE-M coverage as this is what the built-in SIM uses.

Werkt perfect, makkelijk te koppelen met Bluetooth met andere Victron apparaten en bijvoorbeeld Ruuvi sensors. Het is wel belangrijk te weten dat dit apparaat niet met VE.bus apparaten gekoppeld kan worden. Ook niet via Bluetooth.

Nothing not to like , easy set up on phone, laptop and desktop. Shows everything you could ever imagine that is compatible. If you have Victron you can not go wrong. Victron is solar .

Ist bereits der zweite Kauf. Macht was es soll. Zukünftig werde ich aber vermutlich das Cerbro gx nehmen, weil ich dann auch remote Steuern und nicht nur überwachen kann. Nutzt die Bluetooth Funktion, dann spart Ihr Euch die Direct-Kabel, welche doch recht teuer sind. Die Sim Karte ist enthalten (LTE-M)

Allows me to remotely monitor my boat and comes with 5 YEARS of LTE connectivity. Well worth it and easy to install. Note you will need an additional cable to connect it to a VRM-712 monitor.

Ist sehr übersichtlich und lässt sich spielend leicht installieren. Bin zufrieden!
