I considered a book cover, but otherwise it's a useful workbook!
The cover made me nervous--my client isn't THAT cognitively challenged, and I rather hope she doesn't see it. It reminded me of the issues with the DBT book that has BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER on it. The system was a little confusing at first, starting off with memorizing the skills list and how to use it before we learned the skills (I'm a 20 year veteran of DBT). But the lecture notes were really helpful. I am seeing some encouraging changes in the woman with whom I am using this in individual therapy and I'm glad I tried it.

Printing Error
I received this book and pages 81-128 were upside down. I am looking forward to using this, but extremely annoyed by the error.

This book provides a well written and easily accessible guide to clinicans, support staff, and families of those struggling with emotion regulation. I have used this material with individuals of all learning styles and cognitive abilities with success. The pictures and worksheets aid in learning. The clear and organized approach assists those who are struggling to navigate the emotional and social aspects of themselves and their relationships with others.I am excited to start using it with my clients!

A way forward for many of your clients
This book moved my practice forward another step. These skills apply to most if not all of my current clients. Page 200 and 201 provide the core of the program. The rest of the book is a way forward that will probably take me years to master.
