Rich and delicious!
This is the first time I've tried a higher quality coaco powder and I must say I prefer it to grocery store coaco. I'm not familiar with any other brands of gourmet coaco to compare to but this product is significantly fresher and has a more robust chocolate flavor than off the shelf coaco. I use it to make Mexican style hot chocolate, usually using almond milk, flax seed milk, a pea-based milk substitute or occasionally regular lactose free dairy milk. Hot chocolate with the lactose free and pea-based milk tends to form a creamier consistency with the natural sweetness of the milk requiring less additional sweetener, but it's good with the other plant based milks as well. I'm curious to try other brands, but really do enjoy this product and it has become a great alternative to my morning tea or coffee while providing some additional health benefits.

Great flavor
As a former pro baker that managed a small team in the past, we used a mixture of cocoa and black cocoa for a darker more flavorful cake. We got a specific brand and others didn't compare but this cocoa is almost exactly the same! I recommend 2/3 cocoa and 1/3 black cocoa in cake or cupcake recipes. It can cause a more bitter product if you use too much without adjusting sugar and maybe a but more fat.

Amazing!!!
This is the first time I’ve used black cocoa powder. Wow am I glad I tried it!!! I make about 800-900 Italian Pizzelle Cookies every Christmas. I make a lot of varieties and try to come up with a few new flavors every year. This year I made chocolate chocolate chip but used about three quarters black cocoa and a quarter regular cocoa. They were excellent!!! They tasted very similar to Oreo cookies. There’s a big difference in flavor between regular cocoa powder and black. If you like that Oreo flavor then this is definitely for you! I also think that if you used a little mixed in with regular cocoa it would enhance the flavor. I highly recommend giving it a try. I’m so happy I did!!!😁

Great product, arrived leaky
Smells like a decadent chocolate cake! I got it to add to protein shakes and it really kicks them up a notch. The dietary fiber is a plus (just mix well, as powder pockets don't taste wonderful). The bag arrived in an Amazon bubblewrap bag rather than a box and I reclon it got smashed or sat on, and the product bag leaked out. It really does get everywhere. But the product is amazing!

Nut allergy warning was not in the photo when I purchased this cocoa but may contain nuts
I was looking for black cocoa to use in a recipe for my daughter who is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. The one recommended on the recipe site I used was not nut safe. I choose this brand because it did not have any allergy warning for nuts in the photo.of its label. The bag I received had "Allergen Warning: Produced in the same line with celery, mustard, sesame and nuts". I just wanted to include this information if it can be helpful to someone else. I did double check the photo here because I thought I must have overlooked this info but the label is different to the one online.

Didn’t care for the flavor
I don’t think it was off or anything, but it did have a particular flavor that I didn’t care for. A little acrid like the King Arthur brand of black cocoa but even more pronounced. I prefer Cocoa Trader black, modern mountain black, and weirdo good Peruvian dark — all of them have the richness of the black cocoa without the acrid taste like King Arthur and this one. But again I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this one, so if you like king Arthur’s black cocoa, you’ll probably enjoy this one too. After trying it twice in different things, I gave it to a friend who was thrilled to try it out.
