I am a professional window covering installer. While these Alligator anchors work well for drywall, I prefer the Toggler SnapSkru anchors. I use the Alligator anchors for plaster walls, and they are easy to use and effective for heavy loads. They are also very effective for concrete, but there are much lower cost alternatives such as tubular anchors or "tapcon" screws. Toggler Alligator are my go-to for plaster walls.

I learned this as i have to repair and fit so many things. Provided you use a correctly sized drill bit you can drill anything not just as a cavity fixing. When you screw the screw in the fixing will expand into the hole making a secure fit. Useful when screws into plastic fail drill the hole push in the plug and fit the screw.

Toggler Alligator anchors are the best. They hammer in smoothly; they don't twist when you screw in the fastener; you can tighten the fastener without worrying about the anchor stripping; and they hold stuff in place without that worrying wiggle that other anchors give you. Keep a supply or AF5's and AF6's around, and you'll have a great anchor of the right size available when you need it. I’ve tried several different brands of wall anchors, and these are my favorite. They are really slim and thus do not require a giant hole in your wall, yet they can hold up to 20 pounds with the smallest size. They also work well on the ceiling to hang a small plant hook.

These are the best anchors for fastening things securely to the wall without having to make huge holes. The hole required for the AF5 in drywall is only 3/16" diameter, and can be formed with an awl if you choose. The Toggler work with a range of screw sizes from #4 to #10, and thus, you can choose the optimum screw diameter for the device you are mounting. It works with both sheet metal screws and wood screws The Toggler is not like the wimpy plastic wall anchors to which you are accustomed. The alligator shape causes them to split open enough to hold very securely. It can also be used in hard materials such as concrete.

I’m using these to fix holes where stair railing goes. I can’t believe how easy they are to insert and how well they stay put. When I was hanging curtains the ones from the big box stores didn’t work and I had to remove and fix a lot of big holes.

Worked really well for what I needed. Used them to put up metal brackets in a tile bathroom wall to hold a marble shelf. They felt very solid.

Great service from the vendor (on time, etc.), I've tested many of the main types of plastic anchors from the big box stores, but this product simply holds the best when anchoring a product to solid concrete.

These are my absolute favourite wall anchors. Works for both concrete and dry wall. I've never had these fail and I've used these professionally as well. For some reason these are really expensive in my local hardware stores. From amazon the price is very decent.
