It's a rooted twig, which is fine and what I expected for the price. Root ball was small but healthy actively growing,. It arrived packaged well with green, fresh and unbruised leaves. That and hopefully correct species ID is all one could expect. It was nice to find a supplier with a wide variety of figs.

Wellspring Gardens sent me three fig trees! One was in a container by itself, and the other two were attatched together in the second container. I carefully cut the two trees apart with a pair of sissors. I did it very slowly so as not to upset the roots as much as possible. My three trees arrived yesterday. I set them outside overnight and this morning I put them in three pots with a soil for tropical trees in one, and an indoor soil for the other two. I was so happy that none of the leaves fell off, as sometimes happens when trees are shipped. They are thriving. I am thrilled with this purchase. The next set of fig trees that I hope to buy, I will definately use Wellspring Gardens. I could not have asked for a better quality set of baby fig trees. After four years of fruit growth, I expect to have many figs to share with these beautiful fig trees!

I ordered this fig since I’m in zone 7 and it’s suited for that zone. The plant looks healthy, green, but the leaves are so tiny as you can see from my pics. They stand about 6” tall. I was looking at other reviews and although the same size pot the leaves were bigger and the plant taller. I’m thinking maybe the grower should have let this one grow a few more weeks instead of sending ou prematurely to me. I’m going to plant it and we’ll see what happens. Not worth $17. Very tiny!

Very small plant, not what I expected from wellspring gardens, I ordered a banana plant in the fall and it died but they sent a new one right out, that died also but think it might have been my fault not sure. I cut it back to what they said and still nothing has started growing I know they go dormant over winter but it was in a warm room with a grow light, thought I’d see something popping by now. But the very small fig plant is very healthy just small. The banana plant was probably just ordered the wrong time of year we had freezing temps. Only wish they would have told me wait until spring to order, but I don’t think Amazon lets them do that. Still very small April 9th

The first time I received that it was dead from freezing weather , they send to me another one and I put it inside the house next to the window to face the sun . I cover it with empty big bottle of water after I opened it from the bottom so I can protect it from the AC air I will plant it after becoming 3 feet tall so it can survive outside not till then it’s been a couple months now but it’s a live and very healthy I added screws near it root so it will have the vitamin so it will stay green.. I recommend it if you did the same steps i did .

This tiny Fig tree plant came a few days ago,looking so healthy, and it’s growing nicely!

The plant arrived fine, but it is tiny, much smaller than what I expected for the price!

The fig tree is a great plant and it is doing great.
