Raw Rutes -Large Vegetable Stomper-Tamper Packer-Pounder Making Sauerkraut, Pickles, Kimchi and More!
Product ID: 42407262
Whether you call it a vegetable stomper, tamper, packer or pounder, there's a lot of choices out there when it comes to fermenting tools these days. Unlike some of the other stompers out there, this one's handmade in Slovenia from sustainable Beechwood collected from responsibly managed European forests. There's no rainforests being burned, workers being exploited or weird chemicals being used. Just three generations of woodworkers handcrafting a quality item! That means you can spend more time making pickles and less time dealing with a bad case of pickle-packer's guilt! Choose the Compact size if you have a smaller fermenting crock, or use Mason Jars (regular or widemouth) or choose the large size for full size fermentation crocks. Perfect for put making sauerkraut, beets, pickles and more. The wood has been left completely natural, so it can be used as-is or finished with a light brushing of flaxseed oil or mineral oil for more water resistance. The only other choice you need to make is what you are fermenting first! 2.5"24"

I didn't think I'd like it this much
It's a knob on a stick, and I wondered if I was being silly to spend this much on such a simple item. And maybe I was silly, but it's a really NICE knob on a stick, and it works GREAT for packing kraut. Really, it's a tremendous help, and I'm glad I got it.
