Q: What software comes with the board? Is the Arduino Due board required?

Hello, the DueProLogic comes with a DVD that includes all drivers for USB communications and FPGA configuration, user manual, data sheet and several projects. The projects are fully compiled and synthesized and include all source code. There are even C# projects compiled, fully tested and source code. The DueProLogic is a standalone board that only needs a USB MicroB cable to function. It is compatible with the Arduino Due and the DVD includes a project that shows you how to communicate between the PC, DueProLogic and Arduino Due.

Q: Is this board / altera cyclone, programmable using arduino ide / on a mac, or do i have to use a windows pc based system?

The DueProLogic cannot be programmed using the Arduino IDE. It is possible to program the DueProLogic using a Mac. You will have to purchase an external JTAG programmer that is compatible with Mac. There are several external programmers available on Amazon.

No, this product does not include a cable.
