LeMotech Junction Box, Electrical Box IP65 Water Resistant Dustproof ABS Plastic Project Enclosure for Electronics White, External Size 5.9 x 4.3 x 2.8 inch

I got this box to install a POE security camera for the house, I wanted the camera to be attached to the box in order to hide some of the excess cable that came with the box. Overall this box was exactly what I wanted for my project, it is pretty durable for being plastic and the box comes with everything needed to mount and run at least 2 cables out of it (I only needed 1). The craftsmanship of the box is really good, quite exceeding my expectations for the price, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in need of a product like this. There is one thing I think could be improved with this box. As I've mentioned earlier I bought this to mount a POE security camera, while I loved that this box came with 1/2" cable glands but the outside cap of the glands is just a TAD too small for a standard RJ45 connector (even without any sleeves) to go through. It is an easy fix where I just used a step drill bit to make the cap a bit bigger but after getting the cable through even when screwed all the way in there is still a little bit of space between the cable and the gland seal. I don't know if it is because I made the cap bigger but luckily where I mounted the box isn't be exposed to weather. Maybe this box isn't designed to have a CAT5 cable run through the gland but with POE stuff being very popular these days I think the manufacturer should take that into consideration.

Perfect size box to install an inverter/charger in our RV between the incoming shore power line and the inverter. I do wish it came with wire clamps but that’s easy to work around. Fast shipping, great price.

Was perfect for my project.

I've been meaning to put my outdoor smart plug into a box and finally decided on this one. Since I didn't have a hole saw, I just made 8 cuts with a Dremel and a plastic cutting wheel, bending the pieces back and forth around the pre-cut circles and then sanding the edge with a sanding drum. I had to make the holes a little bigger to fit my 1.5" grommets (1.3" I.D.) that are not included. At any rate, it worked out perfectly. There is a rubber piece along the edge of the cover to keep water out. I do have a few complaints. When installing this with the cover facing vertically, the holes on the cover are not self-centering so aligning the screws into the cover was a little painful. Also, do not do what I did and leave the screws in the cover while installing it. All but one fell out. Luckily I was able to find them despite them being small and dropping onto the gravel below. The screws are also non-magnetic so they cannot be removed without tilting the cover.

Size of box reviewed: 5.9 x 5.9 x 2.8 (150mm x 150mm x 70mm). I found the material of the box allowed for easy modifications with needed holes to be drilled. The lid fits nicely on the box, with a built-in seal around the edge to keep it weatherproof. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of workmanship and material of this project box. My project required several holes to be drilled in my box. The pre-scored 1" (25 mm) knock-outs are nice, but I needed a 1-1/8" (28 mm) hole where two of those knock-outs were located. So, I drilled a small pilot hole in the center of the knock-outs and then used a hole-saw attachment on my drill to bore the required 1-1/8" (28mm) hole (see pic with yellow hole saw). My project was to supply and distribute multiple voltages to be used by different devices. I mounted 2 ScanStrut weatherproof USB-A ports (ASIN B071WXWS9C) on the sides of the box. Inside the box, I also mounted a 6 VDC buck converter (ASIN B07SGJSLDL) and a 12 VDC buck/boost converter (ASIN B07N3QT628). From each of these converters, I will route the outputs through the cable glands mounted on the top of the box. The LeMotech box comes with 2 black cable glands, but I used 2 grey ones (ASIN B094ZDSD86) instead of the ones that came with the box. These required 2 custom 12 mm holes to be drilled in the top side of the box.. This has turned out to be one of the smoothest project box jobs I have done. Hints for good results: drill holes slowly into the material, and do NOT force the drill/saw into the material. When sawing, proceed slowly so as to CUT the material, rather than BURN it. Since this project, I have ordered another one of the boxes of this same size, as well as another in a smaller size, for use in other projects.

This is a perfect fit for a 10S3P battery. The junction box is made of thick strong plastic. The lid seals tight and screws down on all four corners. The knockout circles easily remove by drilling small holes - with 2 on each side for a wide variety of choices. Rubber grommets (2) fit tight to keep it clean. The white plastic gives a strong beautiful appearance, and it keeps the battery installation perfect.

size and sealing and water resistance....all good

I assumed it would be heavier duty than it is. One screw stripped out as well, I'm using it for a solar combiner box on my solar rack. Would not buy again.

Hat perfekt geklappt.

Solid quality I used this to house my exterior home automation hardware. I mounted the electronics inside and sealed it up. I did have to make a cut out for a small fan to extract heat which was not difficult and the plastic cut well not cracking the surrounding area. Keeps all of the electronics dry.

I used this box to house electric gate circuitry, yes it is a plastic box but it not the sturdy compared to other boxes I have used in the past. I guess I should've realised that it is a junction box, which some are quite flimsy. The part the annoys me the most is that the screws for the lid dont easily go in if the box is mounted upright.- vertical screws.
