Work Well As Intercom
These are not my first set of small radio walkie talkies, so I have some experience with them and this help me set my expectations. Our needs were specific with these in that my wife had foot surgery and has regular need to assistance from me throughout the day and night. As this is a long recovery (3 months) I felt like we needed to replace our failed set of radios that had finally died with something similar. I chose these and we have been very pleased. She can easily get my attention before speaking with the call signal (sent by pressing the speak button twice rapidly) and then we communicate. We are both pleased with the clarity and volume for $20.00 radios. We also picked orange and black which is hard to lose...and the clip on the back goes on a pocket, belt, or collar quite easily. We have not used them between vehicles BUT we have used them between her being inside while I was outside and they worked well in spite of the fact that our house has foil faced insulation and virtually no radio signals go in or out through it. Distance on our property might be an issue if I were to go farther afield, but I am staying close during this time. When I leave for short trips we simply switch to cell phones. The only issue we face, as some have pointed out, is battery consumption. I do not really believe they are any worse than any of the other radios we have used. We turn them off when we are in the same room or if I am within earshot of her. Some days they are on constantly (until bed time) and we still get several days out of each set of 4 AAA batteries. Would it be nice if they had rechargeable battery packs? Sure, but at a $20.00 price point I do not see that happening. Once she is back on her feet later this summer I will take the batteries out of them, store them away in the office, until we have brief need of them again. They are great for two people matching switches and outlets to breakers on different floors for instance. If you want to go the rechargeable route for more constant use, definitely do so! But for us these are just for a while, and then they will go up on a shelf.

Good quality
I got these for my husband and I since we moved (we have a lot of land and he loves to be outside) and we are were having a baby. Him and I have really enjoyed having these. Its a fun and easy way to tell each other quick little things like food is ready or someone needs water. So far I haven't had any problems with the range. Everywhere we have used them, the range has worked and they have come in clear. I would say the range is good because I have had someone talk through them that was not me or my husband. If you are looking for a fun quick way to tell people in your family things (without them having to pick up their phone), I would recommend getting these!

Good other than battery use!
They work great but I really wish I would have gone with a rechargeable option. Will probably end up getting rechargeable batteries for it because it seems to suck down the batteries pretty fast and these two little talkies use a few each! The function of them is good and they are durable so far!

Great for long drives.
We moved from Interior Alaska to the southeast of the Lowe 48 and drove 2 vehicles. There is no cell phone reception between towns. These fit the bill perfectly. My wife and I used them for 13 days and I changed the batteries in them just once. We still used them when we had cell phone reception because they are so much more convenient and faster to use. We keep them in our vehicles now for when we are both driving to the same place on road trips.

Perfect for keeping up with the kids
These have been great for our family! We have 5 acres, and we use these to communicate with our children when they’re outside. The sound is clear, and the volume is easy to adjust. They make it so much easier to keep in touch without everyone needing a phone. The batteries also last a long time, which has been a huge plus. And our kids have dropped these more times than I can count 😂, and they still work like they’re brand new. They’ve held up extremely well and have been a great way for our family to stay connected around the property.

Great Walkies, But They Fall Easily
Ugh. These walkie talkies are excellent: the battery lasts forever (we got 4 days of use and they're still almost fully charged), they're durable, tons of channels to choose from, and the range is pretty far (we personally used them at a 2-mile distance). However, the clip doesn't hold these very well and we lost one in a crowd while walking. Basically, the clip slips very easily. Disappointing, to say the least.

So easy to use
These walkie talkies are really convenient and easy to use. I like having a pair that can communicate without needing a phone or cellular service, which makes them useful for a variety of situations. The controls are straightforward, and the display makes it easy to see the settings. They’re also a good size to carry around without feeling overly bulky. They’re a handy option for keeping in touch when you’re in different areas and don’t want to rely on your phone. I’m happy with how convenient they are.

Didn't perform as stated
In the process of moving, we pulled over to an interstate convenience store for a break. Returning to the truck and car, we noticed a solid, high pitched noise coming from the cab, bouncing off the ceiling, off the back of the cab, loud enough we were unable to identify where it was coming from. Checked the engine, under the truck, and in back. Called the truck rental service to continue troubleshooting the problem. They concluded a technician would need to come out to troubleshoot, about 1-2 hours wait time. While we were waiting, I spotted the walkie talkie sitting in a cupholder, jammed on, with a nonstop high pitched noise, not something we did, it just went haywire on its own. Cancelled the emergency road service in time, and both the truck company and ourselves had a good laugh. Didn't want to litter the freeway, but I was ready to discard them at that point. Upon purchasing them we found the instructions to be a bit sketchy, but were confident after testing that they would work. They worked fine when in the house and we assumed incorrectly they would do the job during our travel. Not more than 2 miles away once we were on our way, we tested them. No reception, just interference and scratcy noise. We pulled over, and discovered they only worked when we were out of the car and cab, facing each other. They did not have a clear transmission between the car and truck, and they certainly wouldn't work long range. Each channel had interference, and other people's chatter, but no clear transmission for us. Although the listing stated that the company had "qualified engineers" to address the problem, there is also a statement "This item is not eligible for this service". If you are thinking about purchasing this brand and model, I would recommend reading the information carefully before deciding. Due to the move, we were unable to return them because I had gone past the time allowed.
