Why is this brand so much more expenseive than some others? What makes it superior?

We are a North American company that has put R&D into every aspect of our products and we stand behind what we sell and are proud of what we sell. Superior designs and materials cost a little more.

I am a very large man (6’2” and 350 lb). It says one size fits all, but is that really true?

The Torso strapping will stretch out to 57 inches. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Is the G3 available in Black??

No sorry we only made it in Dark charcoal grey. It is a nice dark grey!

Has anyone used this while also wearing a framed backpack?

Yes, that’s why I bought it. It works great under Day packs and extended packs. You will sweat under it some but I Hike when it’s 115. In my opinion there is no better way to carry your SLR when hiking.
