What is the width of the rod? I am looking for a skinny rod for a different use.

The crystal paper towel holder rod width is 1.8cm.

Hi, I see that the base is wood. Had anyone had any issues or problems from it getting wet being on counter or during hand washing?

Hi, the wooden base of the paper towel holder is painted black, and the bottom base is equipped with anti-skid pads, so it can solve your concerns.
