Good quality laptop lock
Good quality cable ( I cut the last cheap one off with scissors). Easy to set and recode.

Unfortunately there is a design defect on some of these meaning you cannot reset the pin
I've ordered two of these now and both have had a manufacturing defect where there is no channel on the back pin to adjust the pin code, sadly had to return both now. I spent ages trying to work it out in case the design had changed/improved but all the user manuals etc show a clear slot on this pin to adjust the pin and there doesn't appear to be any other way of adjusting. Please investigate Amazon/Kensington.

Not compatible with Dell Latitude 7410. Locking mechanism does not engage with anchor point provided by Dell.

Useless. It's too big to fit in the hole
The lock is too big to fit in a normal ThinkPad lock hole. I have also tested on another ThinkPad and it's too big to fit in that as well. It does fit in a very old laptop which the hole is bigger, I have no idea why they make this too large to fit in the modern locking holes. The product is completely useless, returned

Hab schon länger eines in Benutzung. Ist auf Reisen unentbehrlich. Daher habe ich dieses für mein Kind gekauft. Einfach sinnvoll und gut zu bedienen. Wichtig: das Laptop braucht den Kensington-Schacht.

Must have for traveling laptops!
The Kensington Combo lock is easy to set and use and there is no key to loose. It will secure your laptop for those times when your on the road. It seems more secure than the models with the key lock. If you search YouTube for picking a Kensington Lock you will see the keyed model appears to be able to be defeated in about 30 seconds, though not sure if it really matters since there is probably a way to defeat this model as well. The biggest thing is its a deterant and will require some effort on the part of the thief.
