what is the difference between a KPEXTA and the 5KPEXTA please

I don't know what the difference is all I can tell you is that the 5KPEXTA is the only pasta macine (that I can find) which makes macaroni. It is the most amazing attachment and very easy to use. Hope that helps

Will this attachment work with a 240v KitchenAid bought in New Zealand?

It will fit any genuine KitchenAid stand mixer regardless of where it was bought or voltage it uses.
