Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal) Programming, a Practical Approach

A good book for references to S7 1200 plc programming.

Received book extremely quickly. Very happy with it, it's just what I wanted. Builds up from basics and has filled a lot of gaps in my knowledge. Would of been 5 stars but some answers to questions missing

I paid a lot of money for this book...But was disappointed, there is a lot of mistakes. No proof reading properly carried out.The explanations are vague and the drawings wrong.You need to know something about Siemens TIA portal beforehand .Not for a beginner.

somehow mesh, arrangement is not very logic.

Very basic also no answers to half the set questions

Good book for understanding differences between RsLogix and Step7.

El contenido del libro lo haría perfecto para iniciarse en Siemens Step7 Tia Portal si no fuera por lo siguiente:El libro está repleto de errores, erratas, comentarios que no se corresponden con las imagenes que muestran...En fin, es un desastre que impide poder aprender si empiezas desde cero. No se como Amazon ha sido capaz de imprimir este libro. Los autores o los responsables de la publicación no se han molestado en leerlo antes de publicarlo y vender algo en estas condiciones es penoso.Veo opiniones de amazon.com con buenas puntuaciones y pienso ... una de dos:- Los que opinan no se han leido mas que un par de páginas- Los que se lo han leido ya tenian conocimientos previos y no les importa comprar un libro repleto de errores porque son capaces de identificarlos y saber que es lo que debería haberse escrito.Si vais a empezar desde cero no tireis vuestro dinero en este libro porque después de leer unas cuantas páginas terminareis cabreados.Si entendeis Aleman, recomendaria el libro STEP - Workbook für S7-1200/1500 und TIA Portal el cual no es solo un libro de ejercicios sino el mejor libro que he encontrado hasta ahora con teoria y ejercicios, trayendo consigo un fabuloso simulador que ayuda muchisimo a aprender.

Is an excellent book, a very good reading to who is starting with Siemens PLC technology and also to who already know it. I purchased also the other book of some authors, with the Blue cover: Siemens SImenes Step 7 (TIA Portal) a Practical and Understandable Approach and didn't see any difference between both, they are the same book with the same amount of pages and the same chapters starting at the same page, the difference is that one is a little bit more expensive than the other.I have two concerns about both books:1) the lack of a remissive index at the end of the book should help to find similar items through the book.2) at the end of each chapter you will find a quiz about the specific chapter. At the end of the book, you will find all the answers of those quizzes but only for the even questions, the odd ones aren't present. Strange isn't.But despite those two comments I recumbent the book.

Bought it for a college course im taking, arrived fast within delivery specified and brand new just like described. Im happy!
